Time for me to admit I was wrong.

I had Cavs in 5. LOL

I did not think the Knicks were a bad team. I just thought the Cavs were really good. I actually gave them an outside shot at beating Milwaukee.

Clearly the Knicks broke them mentally.

Brunson is awesome. Dallas made a HUGE mistake.

We shifted to the 9 man rotation in December
And we were the best team record wise in the East since then. Any more stats needed?

So you meant we were the better team if we ignore the first 29% of the season.

Just like if you ignore our record before adding DRose we were better than Atlanta two years ago :dontknow:

I mean. Their starting 5 vs. our starting 5. On paper we were better head to head. That’s what I’m referring to

The Knicks have held the Cavs to under 100 in half the games they’ve played this season. Knicks know how to fustrate and stop the Cavs offense

Josh Hart also makes a big difference. The trade at the deadline a lot of people were criticizing the Knicks for in giving up a 1st rounder, but we knew about his impact since Portland beat the Knicks earlier in the season with Hart outhustling the entire New York team in the 4th. The Knicks lost a lot of close games earlier in the season because of getting outhustled for loose balls and just not valuing plays in the end. Hart doesnt start but he has been closing the games since he got here. The team record and overall advanced stats whatever you want to look at since we got Hart, all have shown tremendous impact. He's a super role player.

Remember that argument that went on for 5 pages in the OG thread about Allen and Mobley being better rebounders than Mitch because their raw numbers were better (because they play 40 mins a game vs Mitch 25)

Allen 40 mins: 4 REB, 1 OREB
Mobley 35 mins: 7 REB, 3 OREB

Mitch 27 mins: 11 REB, 7 OREB

Always throws me off when I spend half my life for no pay trying to keep things up to date and in order so people have a good place to discuss the games and then someone decides I'm a clown and intentionally trying to ruin their day.

If someone has a poll request I'll be happy to do whatever you guys want. I voted Knicks in 6 and have complimented them throughout the series and I'm getting accused of doing something fishy to make them look bad and I don't even get it at all.

The next poll should be...

What's more likely to happen?

Hell Freezing over? (99%)

A General Board mod allowing the Knicks to shine? (1%)

I'm officially over this, man. Really don't appreciate the peanut gallery today.

How about I just not click on this thread again? I'm sure you'll all love it when instead of taking time out of my life to update and keep it current I just leave the title and OP and poll as it is. Knicks lead 3-1 forever. Cool with me.

Knicks team too deep and CLE got a taste of Deuce McBride. Grimes, IQ, and Randle hasn’t even got going yet.

You’d be fooling yourself if you expect Randle to get it going. He has too many weaknesses to expect him to succeed in a playoff setting when teams actually game plan and prepare.

He might have a good/average game here and there, but expectation should be that he’ll continue to struggle like he’s always struggled in the playoffs.

I feel like Mobley & Allen really have to be MUCH more aggressive on both ends if CLE wants any chance to get back in the series.

If not, gotta give the Knicks (and I've been really impressed by Brunson in particular) props. They just look like the more intense, experienced & ready to play team. They seem to dictate the pace & play of majority of the series. CLE's big men, gotta wake up and put a bigger imprint on the game and of course Garland has got to be consistent or this is over in the next two games.

Them & BOS are always so lit, although NY might even be louder....either way those are amazing Playoff atmospheres.

Younger fans and even older fans are getting a refresher on the experience of playoff Knicks basketball at Madison Square Garden.... THIS is why they call it the Mecca.

Special place to play when the Knicks are rockin....

I know, I'm not surprised by this series either. But it's not wrong to say that on paper they were the better team this season, because they were. They had the better regular season and that's why this series started in cleveland instead of new york.

Now that didn't guarantee that they'd beat us in a best of 7 head-to-head series, but that's a different question than who had the better year.

Or he had a brutal ankle sprain to end the season and isn't himself yet. His debut playoff series 2 seasons ago is a tiny sample size.

So true. The cavs are doing a great job of scheming Julius into missing wide-open 3s.
