He’s absolutely getting suspended for game 5.

They'll have to go to the Secaucus replay center to determine if contact was made before or after the buzzer. If the games over, it's just two dudes.

Seriously though, it was almost nothing, but it was something, something that is against the rules and can result in suspension. Players gotta know to never do this. If you are the team's second best player, down 3-1, well... that's a monumental bonehead move by Mr. Murray.

It doesn’t matter if the game was over or not. You do not make contact with an official. That’s an automatic suspension, maybe more games. Murray is stupid.

After a night to digest:

That was probably the best playoff game this core has played, the relentless frantic pace by the Hawks was incredible. They played rough and refused to go away, hit crucial shot after crucial shot, and the Celtics did what they had to do every time to stay ahead.

Brogdan, White, Timelord, and Smart played tough. The Js carried us but those 4 playing like they did last night will give you a chance on any night against any opponent. Robs dive tip to Jaylen late was a winning play, this group had a ton of them last night.

Closing the game out both Js were aggressive at the same time and it was a beautiful thing. Sometimes I feel like they each go passive when the other gets aggressive, maybe resting a little. Having two of the top 2 way players in the league is a blessing, it's fun to watch when they are both locked in.

I wonder about these guys sometimes but as either Scal or Perk said last night NOBODY is beating this team four times in seven games.

Just got to stay healthy and stay smart.

The Rob play was fantastic. That Jaylen Brown ripped open his stitched up finger with that thunderous dunk is the defining moment of this series. Whatever JBs perceived shortcomings…..you gotta love that compete level he brought to the final 5 minutes.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Yup.
JT scored 16? In Q4 also.

It is. But it's the playoffs. You have to wonder if the NBA suspends him with an important game 5 coming up.
It should be a suspension. Will it be? Not a 100% as some think. Guess we will find out. I just know you don't do
that to a ref, this isn't soccer in Europe.

It's that same competitive nature he has that's enabled him to improve his game, year after year. I loved seeing that in this game.

Any of Rob, Jaylen, Tatum, Smart, or White could get the VC, easily.

100%, Celtics outplayed and outworked the Hawks but the Hawks played hard and intense ball on both sides of the court.

I think a big fine and no suspension would be okay with me but I think NBA has already laid down the law on these things. Murray just brushed him but he went out of his way to do it after game was over. He is toast.

To add to the +/- posts from earlier: Al was a +17 last night while scoring scoring zero points.

JT needs to dial down on shooting threes at times especially if he isn’t hot from there like that one stretch where he missed like 5-6 of them without one going down. He’s too talented to be settling. Would like Tatum to get the ball in the post like he was briefly for a few games near the end of the season when he was cooking.

When you compare it to the past it's 100% a suspension.

The NBA has lost control. It almost seems like they do coin flips to decide suspensions.

There is no problem of Tatum shooting 3's. You can question the timing of a few but other than that there is no problem. It's part of his game.

voted "team" and would love to see this team win it this year and dedicate it to the memory of Russell.

I am OK with Shooting 3s.. But not step back 3s early in the clock. Tatum also had 20 FGA and 13 were 3s.. Of course some were Drives where he got fouled and they don't count towards attempts etc.. But still I love it when he puts pressure on the defense when he attacks more..

Tatum can and needs to play better IMO.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Great game. Voted for Rob. After 4 games, I'm so thankful that we did not trade for John Collins.

Collins is not living up to his potental, we are lucky to have a culture wher most of our players are spending their summer working on their game

Monumental Bonehead Murray got what he asked for, a one game suspension. That really messes with the Hawk game plan: try to stay close and then alternate Murray and Young going iso to close. They are both good at getting buckets; and they need both.

Can hardly believe he was really or stupid, or angry, enough to do this at the buzzer.

So glad we got the adult player, Derrick White, in that trade.
