2022-23 Season Discussion and Review - the Blockbuster trade and playoff downfall

I love Booker but if I had to pick one to start a team I guess I'd lean SGA even if we took age out of the equation. But my opinion doesn't really count for much because I'm extremely biased towards SGA since he's my dynasty league guy.

He's better than Luka and Trae already, that much is sure. At least this year he was. Although I think he will have to take more 3s to increase his ceiling.

If I had to start a team from scratch I’d pick MJ, Pippen, Rodman, Kukoc & Kerr and let them work their magic. That’s a dynasty in the makings in my honest opinion. Also, probably get Phil Jackson as a coach.

He's gotta know that he's not been playing well or consistent, or up to his pick designation and contract salary though?!?!!
Perhaps he's being absolutely truthful when he says he doesn't know what motor means...lol. But Tesla battery..............really?? The sad part is that Ayton is built more like a monster truck with a Prius battery! He's got the talent, ability, athleticism to be historically great. But is still far too soft and passive. It's like having a powerful sasquatch with the personality of a care bear! I really hope he finds his fire and determination to finally dominate instead of capitulate. Again, I'm one of Ayton's biggest supporters, but it's very frustrating to hear him not recognize or accept his weaknesses and barriers to greatness.

That's a good comp GoK. In Ayton's defense (yes, I'm doing it again) he's like 24 so his age of dudes probably don't registrar about muscle cars or even good trucks. Why would it? Those dudes aren't out here needing to use those things or are in that world. To people his age Tesla is probably the peak of performance. Can't fault ppl for what they have never experienced.

Ayton has played better in these playoffs then last year's imo. Hopefully he can continue it.

Why don’t you show what you are made of instead of proclaims how great you are and using nicknames to pump yourself up. Wouldnt be surprised to see them do well with Udoka especially if they get Harden. They've got a lot of role players who are athletic wings of all sizes that Harden will love to pass to. KJ Martin/Tate/Eason/Jabari and of course Jalen Green. Interesting to see what Houston does going forward with their draft pick and Harden poking his head through the door. Big question marks over the future of their two best players in Porter and Sengun.

They've got a ton of tradable assets. Like they can sign Harden to a max, trade for another max dude and still have enough to stay under the tax-which means they can go MLE/BAE if needed. They just need to move the chuckers and get solid dudes.

The what if I think of is Monty leaving the Suns, the Nets hire him as their head coach and Booker leaves Phoenix to reunite with Monty/Mikal in Brooklyn. Someone will hire Monty the minute he is available.

The grass isn’t always greener. The Suns are finally a respected franchise around the league and it’s all because of Monty Williams.

Yup understood. He’s not the best coach in the league but he’s far from a Mark Jackson. He’s done a lot of great things here, and even if we get a coach we think is “better” in a nutshell, that doesn’t mean they would be better with this team.
