Bam is quite a bit better than Bosh on defense which was what was being discussed.

Bosh is way better overall. Replace Bam with Bosh and I'd favour Heat in this series with Giannis limited. His ability to hit jump shots anyway in the floor would open a lot for this Heat offense

Saying Bosh is way better is just nostalgia. There’s no evidence to support that. But I guess we’re pretending Bam isn’t a DPOY level player who is also solid offensively. Bosh was a better scorer and shooter but was hardly on a different tier. He made one all-nba team in his career.

Bam is DPOY in his mind and in the mind of some folks on his jock. He is a very good defender, but disappears against quality big men. Funny enough, he does not even have the highest defensive rating on the Heat.
