Rafael Barlowe from NBA Big Board did a mock draft and had us taking GG Jackson at 13.

3. Toronto Raptors: Brandon Miller | 6-9 wing | 20 years old | Alabama
The most consistent organization in the Eastern Conference continues to roll. That’s 10 straight years the Raptors have either made the playoffs or moved up in the lottery. Beat that, Celtics, Bucks and Heat! The Raptors would obviously need to do a lot of due diligence on this pick, the scope of which cannot be fully encapsulated in a blurb like this one. Assuming the Raptors are ultimately OK with Miller, he makes the most sense. Sure, he’s another 6-foot-9 wing, but Miller comes in with a proven jumper. The other consideration, Amen Thompson, seems like he would clash with Pascal Siakam and Scottie Barnes. Miller starts off as a floor-spacer with some more juice and slowly takes a bigger playmaking role as the reps become available in Toronto.

(Low key, the Raptors might engage in some light discussions with Washington for the No. 2 pick and Henderson.) — Eric Koreen

great, now our luck got used up on the Athletic mock and we'll definitely stay at 13.

Would be absolutely hilarious if we won the lottery. None of us would be complaining about anything anymore. The Jak trade would no longer seem stupid. Our free agents would probably see more potential signing back if they are having doubts. Life would be good.

He could be TWac 2.0. Maybe even better than Brandon Miller and only behind Wemby. Though seems like he's more like Ben Simmons mentally. He's young so need a good psych evaluation, so not like Primo or Ben.

I’d rather take a shot at Dariq Whitehead in that scenario. Only a month older than GG, but with a skill that can keep him in the league longer. GG is more of a guy that has to put it all together to be successful

I like looking at this list, especially the internationals that declare. For example, Miguel Allen is a pretty good player. If we had a late second round pick I would select him. There are also some low key good guys in a lower division. I can see grant101 enjoying finding out more on these type of guys. I will dig into the internationals...

What about GG Jackson screams top tier prospect?

His efficiency is terrible, he can't shoot, he doesn't pass, he doesn't defend, he doesn't pick-up many blocks/steals and he turns over the ball a lot.

I don't get it.

I don't like him but at 13, it's unlikely you're going to get a top tier prospect. All the prospects in this range are going to have warts in their game, you have to decide which weaknesses can be fixed or atleast mitigated.

My whole opinion on drafting strategy is to draft a future Superstar. Those guys are really good and would improve our chances at winning a championship.

ya, at 13 you're likely not getting an all-star, but I'm still trying to figure out what GG's actual strengths are that would make you take him in the lottery beyond hope.

I see the appeal. Shifty, 6’9” player who’s only 18 with a scoring mentality. He was the preseason #1 then made a boneheaded decision passing on UNC. He’s in the mold of a Siakam/Randle type which is a hot commodity at the moment.

If I’m the Raps pre-draft I’m leaking a bunch of BS about how they see him as their Siakam replacement and how Masai is infatuated with him hoping someone grabs him before us allowing a better player to drop.

We've found an overlooked roster arbitrage opportunity. Like in that movie, Draft Day.

The endless amount of 6'9 athletic dudes with "potential" could fill the Rogers center multiple times over. It's rare that players with his numbers have gone on to become impact players at the NBA level, but maybe he's the exception.

GG Jackson's talent is very obvious. Very young, played on poor team in a tough conference. Imagine his numbers if he stayed another season, he did reclass. Makes drafting him a more difficult decision with the required projection. 6'9 guys with solid handles and shot creation talent don't grow on trees.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Gradey Dick is a cool name. I'd like to see him play on the Heat. Martin - Love - Dick would be a fun lineup.
