Giannis is a monster and has the refs wrapped around his finger but just imagine your best player just flat out not being able to make free throws. Like this game went to OT and he was 10-23 from the free throw line, a horrible 11-23 closes it out for them

Yes, come to the dark side!
Bill Simmons also said the same thing today on his podcast and he loves Herro.

I'm glad people will stop pretending like Bam isn't a great player now just because he isn't a great scorer. At least until he scores 13 points against the Knicks in a loss

Although Bam had a bad offensive game, you can now see why you don't move him, he is one of the few players in the entire NBA that can slow down the top big men in the league. Without Bam's defense Miami doesn't win this game.

If these role players are hitting their shots we 100% are. He’ll be gone this summer

Bam running point was one hell of an adjustment. Pretty much negated if not straight erased the Brook Lopez problem we were having.....big ups to him/Spo. I know a lot of us are hard on him here, but this dude was a huge difference maker in 2nd half. 20/10/10 is nothing to sneeze at.

Majority don’t understand the game outside of PPG, it sucks and it’s annoying but it is what it is. Spo the players and front office understand how important he is

I actually really like this answer, wish it was seen like this more widespread in sports

Agree. There's parity right now. There are a lot of great teams and a lot of great players who can be considered best in the world. There isn't a prime GS or prime Lebron who are heads and shoulders better than everyone where you expect a title run each season. Any playoff team right now can be beat. It was a disappointing end to their season but I wouldn't label this as a failure or a stain to Giannis or the Bucks legacy. But I'd bet the main sports show talk tomorrow won't be heat win, it will be 'is this a stain in Giannis legacy'

I can't lie, but I love the way Giannis handled himself and the answer he gave.

13-7-5 in the 4th and OT before fouling out alone while holding Gianni’s to 0-8 shooting. Just completely took this game over with Jimmy when we needed it most

Big advertisement for Heat culture. I wonder how many disgruntled stars are now looking at Heat as potential destination. Even if we don't win a chip if we can get to ECF finals, we would be in great position in the offseason. I gotta imagine someone like Dame, who wants to win, wanting to be a part of this

I think the biggest fish Miami can get this summer would be Beal. With a new FO, him having the power with the no trade clause, he can basically force Washington to trade him to Miami.

Maybe I'm down on Beal but at this point is he really that much of an upgrade over Herro?
