Bobby Portis has a reasonable contract so he has value, Allen too

Marjon is the only young guy of value but I would prefer to keep him and establish him in the rotation

As long as your team isn't looking to make a playoff run yeah Holiday works.

Lopez, Bobby and Jrue had good seasons, I think selling high on them might be the play. New bigs who can switch gets you out of the drop zone and a pg to run the offense.

If you believe Middleton's injuries played a part this season I could see him having a bounce back contract year. Let his value comeback then move him next season or the year after. Keeping him around might make Giannis happy enough to not want out too.

Khris also still has plenty in the bag, just can't defend anymore. I'm ok with him staying but we should definitely explore trades for him.

Teams will want Bobby and many teams will want Jrue just like they wanted him before we pulled the trigger. Cost us 3 picks but other gm's would've offered something similar. He also comes with a ring an Olympic gold medal (if you value this).

Teams don't know of Marjon's value. He needs to play so we can show them before flipping him. We know what Bud's stance is with young players...

I honestly just think we need a “down year”.

This is our 5th straight year of having legitimate title aspirations — even GS started breaking down & they had the benefit of having a Top 2 player join them to relieve pressure.

Klay missed 2 seasons. Curry missed a season. Draymond sat out a season. GS essentially had two “down years” & were able to rejuvenate themselves relatively quickly.

I’m not saying to punt next year, but the issues we have we not take 1 offseason to solve.

The Spurs went 4 years between their 1st & 2nd titles, and 7 years between their 4th & 5th.

The league is extremely talented right now. Time for a new blueprint around Giannis (and Khris).

If I'm Milwaukee, I'm seeing if I can get Kyrie to commit to a sign-and-trade that brings him to Milwaukee and sends Jrue to Dallas.

Ticket sales softened. Insufferably long season, not knowing who would actually play, waiting for the real season to begin in April. I can't imagine the owners running it back, paying all that luxury tax, and trying to sell tickets. And while many things in the organization have improved with the ownership change the marketing department sucks. And that was with a new arena/championship team to sell.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

It's one thing to lose in the conference finals. It's a whole other thing to lose in historically bad fashion in the first round. Agreed that they cannot just run this back, not after this epic meltdown. Heads, or at least one head, need to roll.

I think Horst put together a championship-level roster. Bud just failed to deliver on its immense potential. While the players could've been better -- looking at you Jrue -- this meltdown is on Bud. He needs to go.

If we get rid of Bud, do you think brook will go elsewhere this summer?

So much of what we did was built to his strengths, and a different coach may approach it all differently.

Including these 5 games, I watched maybe 10 games in total this season. I'd imagine others did the same, that is didn't watch much of the regular season which let's face it, is hard to excited for unless you're rooting for an up-and-coming side. We too started from the bottom, became a contender then champion, thus it became all bout the playoffs. Especially now that we know this team has reached the end of it's cycle, we're going to need to really freshen things up to get people interested again.

Just rumors but heard Lopez doesn't like bud. Or at least frustrated he was given a more active role. Idk if it's possible in today's game, but there has to be an offense to allow Giannis and Lopez to get entry passes down low so Gianni's doesn't have to ram through defenders. Like we did it against the suns in the finals and never again? Did the suns play us that differently?

That’s not going to do it for POR.

We just had an absolutely disastrous and embarrassing playoff exit, could you maybe not do your usual thing of popping over here solely to dump on any Portland-related posts/trade ideas? Like just for a couple days at least?

I feel better now. This reminds me of the Blazers collapse against LA in 2000.

Here's one simple goal for Giannis next year: know which guys you face up and which guys up you back down.

That had more todo with drafting Tim Duncan.

We don't have our own first round pick until 2028, right? 2024 and 2026 New Orleans have a swap?
