Bucks losing should increase C’s focus

Post#1 » by Scarletfire81 » Thu Apr 27, 2023 1:02 pm

Celtics need to realize they could still lose this series, I’m hoping that Miami beating the Bucks will increase their focus. Their main problems seem to be stepping off the gas, they aren’t taking the Hawks seriously enough IMO.

If anything I think it'll do the opposite. I think this team takes it for granted that they'll be in the finals again, and the Bucks being out of the way may just strengthen that feeling.

If they needed the bucks to lose to increase their focus they never had a chance to begin with. I get what you're saying but they shouldn't need their focus increased. Also I agree ^ if anything this will just increase the chances of them blowing more games.

So what if they lose? There's no failure in sports. Some days you win, some days you lose. Michael Jordan only won 6 championships.

Celtics losing in the Finals should’ve already accomplished that. But apparently not.

But since we’re not out of the playoffs yet, redemption tour is still on. They better get their **** together soon though.

They’ll probably think the finals is a cakewalk now and play down to that level of expectation. These guys have no “on” switch.

It definitely helps that no Greek freak with Middleton comes in with home court. How can it not help ?

Good assessment:

There shouldn’t be any false optimism, Jimmy’s last shot was the only thing that separated them from the finals - and it looked pretty damn good too.

I think the C's should always win. Every game. I think that most NBA teams are really good and can beat us anytime. There is no home court advantage. To win Banner 18, it will take great focus, great games, no injuries and luck.

I don't think the team cared who advanced between Miami/Milwaukee. Going off interviews, they don't seem to view Miami's win as much of an upset either.
