A team that lost it's play in game, barely made the playoffs, beat a team that didn't have it's best player for 11 of the 20 quarters played, a guy who came back on a gimpy back, missed double digit free throws in a two point game, a coach who completely shat his pants in the moment (two timeouts remaining? Benching your DPOY candidate center while the opponent chucks a lucky heave right underneath the basket???), a guy who is supposed to be their closer passing up the shot to Grayson Allen, a role player who didn't even get a shot off, a clearly missed offensive foul to tie the game, a team that blew leads in the last two games in crunch time....a team that completely got shook, a team that had no chemistry or rhythm after it's best player missed more than two games....
All of a sudden the team that beat them is the 96 Bulls led by Jimmy Jeffrey Jordan, unstoppable.
If the Cavs would've won, nobody would give the Heat a chance...they would say it was a great run and they have run their course...but since it's the Knicks, who people somehow think is the same one from two years ago led by Narlens Noel, Reggie Bullock, and Elfrid Payton...they're going to get waxed by them.
Atlanta kicked Miami's ass in the play in because Miami couldn't grab a rebound...Atlanta muscled their way to offensive rebounds, more possessions...Miami's weakness.
Yet the team whose entire system is built around doing this is going to let these walk on players led by a I'd rather not shoot but hey my teammates told me to, body them around after they just buried the best defensive team in the league with much more dynamic players, didn't let the team that had a guy score 70 one time, 57 in the playoffs, drop more than one 30 point game on them, didn't let his much more capable offensive team crack 100...yeah, they're going to let a guy run around and drop 40's on them while his team full of undrafted players scores 120 per game.
Get a grip...look past your bias, use logic and think. It's like nobody even watched the Bucks, a team that was a shell of itself in these playoffs, play. They lost this series, Miami didn't win. A string of luck, bad coaching by the opponent, and a choke job at the line from the best player in the league who can't shoot for ****, who would have rather thrown the ball out of bounds than go shoot free throws again, got them here...yeah that team is a gonna be a problem for the Knicks.
Miami, and the rest of the people that like to **** on the Knicks, are in for a rude awakening. These aren't Carmelo's Knicks and thank God, these aren't Donovan Mitchell's either.
