Yeah I'm thinking the same thing but then we have to realize that Boston just played well that last 5 minutes of game five Boston wins 4-1. Or at least that's what I'm trying to tell myself to feel better LOL

Agreed... this team is still very fragile at its core. Not comfortable with this against any of the upcoming competition

Maybe your just not respecting this Hawks team
Enough? They knocked Miami down to the 8 seed and Miami took out the Bucks. Who the heck knows, but ATL was impressive! Reminded me of the young Hawks in 2008. Hope we get the same end results!!!! Enjoy the first rd win

Celtics should Hire Kemba Walker as an assistant Coach

They played hard and made shots. Playoffs aren't supposed to be a gimme. Honestly hats off to ATL, they were way better than I would have given them credit for and Quinn is doing a good job with them.

This should've been a sweep...they let the Hawks get comfortable and they were playing catch up. This was a bad first series for a contender. They should've finished this early and rested up. Now Horford will be playing every other day at age 37...

They did the exact opposite in the 4th this game than they did the last. Which is a great sign.

I'm really concerned about their half court offense in crunch time though.

Not pretty, but pretty impressive execution in the end, well done.

this team legit looked like golden state down the stretch where they just clamped down on defense, constant movement on both sides of the ball and hit all the huge shots.

even joe made good choices down the stretch, outside of bringing in rob to rebound on the free throws when we were up 7 with 24 sec left

Once it was clear it wasn’t going to be a blowout, I desperately wanted to see them execute offensively in the clutch.

Hawks defense is caca, but they have pretty good defenders who can step up in the moment. This series should have absolutely been over in 5, but there’s still a ton of rest before the Sixers series.

Sounds good! At least I'll be able to listen to an NBA podcast tomorrow.

Not sure if we made the series harder than it was supposed to be, or the Hawks are actually good.

Will get answers next round.

Finally, we locked down & played intense D & made clutch shots in the last 5 minutes.
Finally…
Finally…
Huge clutch 3 by 7 to tie, then clutch 3 by Big Al on a GREAT PASS BY COBRA, then clutch 3 by JT, then MVP rebound & savage smash dunk by JT, then CLUTCH 3 by Smart (who tried his best to lose the game for us ALSO with TWO dumb as a rock TOV & 2 missed wide open 3s before that 3 - as always Cobra giveth & then taketh away - I still LOVE him).
(But I still think Brog & White absolutely should close many games with Smart sitting.)

Our D sucked for the first 43 minutes. SUCKED.
Credit to Trae & the feisty Hawks, but our D sucked.

7 overall played a GREAT GAME w 32 & 6-8 3s - many of them very needed & clutch. Only 2 TOV.
JT finished with an AWESOME **** line (30-14-7-1-2 - 0 TOV) & great D - but did not really put on his Superman cape until the last 5 minutes.
Al’s D was phenomenal at the end & he was clutch at the end. 10-12-4-2-3 is not too shabby.
Brog was excellent.
Marcus overall was extremely good.
Rob & Derrick were relatively quiet.

Time to reset, rest a bit, & come out HARD & INTENSE vs Biid.

Then the Knicks or the Heat in the ECF.
Then the Suns or the Nuggets or the Dubs in the Finals.

HOME COURT ADVANTAGE TO THE **** END.
THE DOOR IS WIDE OPEN TO #18 IF WE PLAY THE RIGHT WAY (BUT NOT THE WAY WE JUST PLAYED IN R1).
