Why are u comparing Bam to Brunson?

Bam is about to find out just how dominant Mitchell Robinson is

Bam is not a dominant player on offense in the first place. If he averages 18ppg on elite defense I ll be more than happy. Bam has a tendency to disappear on offense so I m not counting on him to do much there.

That being said he will be worlds better than the lifelesss corpses of Allen and Mobley.

damn this thread got me Hyped for this series. I'm a heat fan but i have objective goggles about this matchup because i went to the last game we played the knicks at the Garden and it was a game of runs. Spo and Thibs are great coaches so it will be a chess match every game and will be chippy from the start. watching us all season i did not expect us to beat the Bucks with jimmy flippin the switch.

The Knicks are legit and will make us work for every point and attack the paint furiously because we are small. funny thing is me and a coworker said last saturday said if the heat and knicks meet up in the 2nd round we going to the garden dipped out in our team colors but we looked at those ticket prices today and was like ehhhhh Buffalo Wild Wings??

I didnt have the Heat beating the Bucks so naturally lets roll with it. I dont have the Heat beating the Knicks
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

I agree. Anything can happen, of course, but realistically - ECF is likely the Knicks cap.

I actually think both of these teams match up well with the Celtics; assuming they come out of that side of the bracket. So I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the winner of this series go on to the finals :dontknow:

They can matchup well all they want. Barring Tatum/Brown getting hurt neither are beating the Celtics. Same goes for Philly if they advance.

I just want to see a brawl where Thibs runs out to the court and hugs Bam's leg.

You're right. The Knicks' only chance of beating the Cavs is if Garland/Mitchell get hurt.

Congratulations beating the Cavaliers. The Celtics are a whole other animal - they're heavy favorites for a reason to win the whole thing. Let me guess, next you're gonna quote the fact that the Heat weren't supposed to beat Milwaukee right? Anything can happen of course, but logically speaking here we haven't seen a team as heavy of a favorite as this since the 2018 Warriors if we're going by Vegas odds.

Philly has Doc Rivers and he is a notorious choker so I'd give them a better shot there.

I have no skin in this. My team is trying to get Wemby. You should keep hoping though that a miracle occurs :)

seems like every year (or every other year) a random team makes the conference finals. the path is there for the knicks to be that team this season.

 a lot of cheddar I imagine.

It's an interesting series as both of these teams are better than their regular season records. Hard to gauge where we're at relative to each other. I prefer this to the Bucks for matchup reasons but expect a tough series. If there's anything less than an all out war I'll be somewhat disappointed.

On that note, I hope you and your buddy fall off a bridge and sincerely hope that you feel the same way about me. Like old times.

vibes and matchups is my 2 buzzwords for the nba.

both teams have crazy good vibes right now. imho, the matchups favor the knicks b/c they have more players that can score when needed than the heat.

the jimmy factor may outweigh alot of it...but brunson vibes seem to be up for the challenge.

We ostensibly have better single coverage but we might wall him like we did Mitchell.

Really depends if Jimmy can keep his level of play up .. Will randle get on track ? Bam has to be useful on the boards at least … heat in 7 . Jimmy has to guard Brunson. Duncan has keep up his shooting as well . Should be great series

Wild. I have no idea what will happen. The Heat were awesome against the Bucks, but the Bucks were so **** that I don't know if I can make too many conclusions from it. And the Knicks are tough.
I have no clue, just excited to watch it!

It's tricky to guess whether Thibs will want to attack Jimmy the way he did DG & DM and bet against the other Heat outscoring DamnSon & co.; or if he'll just accept that Jimmy's gunna Jimmy and worry more about keeping tight to the Heat's shooters without conceding the paint.
