Its the other guys who needs to. Hawks did a poor job closing unto shooters this game its as if they knew the celts were gonna make the shot. There was no sense of urgency, they’re satisfied to make it to G6 and not be labelled as non-playoff caliber guys.

We know what type of Celts will play in G1. We also saw their “extra gear” in G6 against the Hawks. We also saw what makes Hawks effective like attacking Al’s defense and having a big around the paint to send help.

Sixers haven’t shown anything except Biid at the elbow commanding double teams. We dont even know if Biid will play in G1.

The Bucks had 14 more offensive rebounds than the Heat for the entire series, that's around 3 per game. The Knicks had 29 more rebounds than the Cavs, around 6 per game, it's double the effect.

The Hawks got 22 offensive rebounds on the Heat on the play in, i repeat 22 offensive rebounds.

I also doubt the Heat is more talented than the Knicks outside of Butler and Bam, and the size means Randle/Toppin are gonna have a mismatch advantage at any time on the floor because Bam is gonna have to cover Robinson.

The Knicks bench is better too

To keep it short I do think the two teams are in different classes, all due respect to the Knicks and the year that they are having but I’ll be shocked if this series goes to six games if all players are good to go.

I wasn’t impressed by their offence outside of Brunson, Lowey/Butler are straight better matchups for the Heat imho.

So here we are. The Celtics. My biggest question (other than health) is how do we deploy Embiid for maximum impact defensively. Can he function as a paint deterrent for their 5 out offense? I'd like for us to at least force less open 3s than the Hawks did but it seems from memory that they got a lot of them in the regular season games against us and I don't suspect we have any new wrinkles we can surprise with. McDaniels will help against some of their ISO ball but just how many minutes we can afford to give him based on his offense is a question mark.

If he's healthy Embiid is going to crush them on offense and so will Harden. Not too worried about not scoring enough. They don't have the personnel to defend our roster given health.

They do have the personnel to defend our roster. We have the personnel to defend theirs too. Their role guys have outplayed ours. Hopefully with the rest ,time off and tape they can go over how to get our guys going and finding ways to slow theirs down.
