Ok so a couple of guys I’m looking at for pick #58. TE Sam LaPorta, RB Zach Charbonnet, OL Steve Avila, or LB Drew Sanders. There are several other OL and WR I would be ok with too but these are probably my top guys.

Don't ruin a good moment by bringing Jerry into it.

I'm just glad that we both got what we wanted tonight.

I'm still waiting for someone to pinch me so I can wake up. This has to be a dream.

I have my heart set on Mayer, LaPorta, or Washington or maybe Musgrave.

Obviously not all of those will fall to our pick so a trade may be in order. TE has to be addressed.

Also I can not help but to wonder if we were planning on taking Kincaid over Mazi. One of those things we'll probably never know the actual truth about.

Michael Mayer & Washington are still available.

TE. TE. You boys are wrong. We go OL or LB in round 2. Trade up for Drew Sanders or Steve Avila !!!! Its a no brainer for us. Screw Jerry, Steven, Will, McCarthy and Quinn. Let me take over. I'll finish this. :gossip: :eyebrows:

Your joking right? Egals don't scare me at all. I'm willing to out on a limb and say our defense will be better. All we need now is another stud LB.

How are you saying screw Jerry, Steven, Will, etc when they just drafted Mazi Smith the guy you've been barking up in here for weeks?

Even when they do exactly what you wish them to do you can't give them credit?

 :cuddle :kiss Love both and can't go wrong with either. TE and RB can wait till round 3 or 4. OL is the weakest link on offense after Dak, but we can't do anything about him till for least one more season so lets beef up the running game and get better pass protecting. Cowboys were in the bottom 6 of pass protecting last season. Lets not give Dak any excuses for another fumbled season on his part.

Yea the Eagles had a really good 1st day. That defense is not going to be fun to play against.

I think Mazi was the pick all along. Kincaid has back issues and I think that scared the Cowboys off. They stayed true to their board and drafted the guy they wanted. Mazi Smith fills the biggest need in the team and is going to make life so much easier for Parsons and the rest of the pass rush.

Mazi Smith reminds me of Leon Lett.

It’s likely that neither will still be on the board when we pick. Also even though some of us would love another LB I think the rest of the draft is going to lean heavy towards the offense. Right now TE, RB, and WR are bigger needs. The three guys I personally like are TE Sam LaPorta, RB Zach Charbonnet, or WR Marvin Mims.

If they go OL though these are the three names to keep an eye on Steve Avila (obviously), O’Cyrus Torrance, or Matthew Bergeron. One of those 6 players hopefully makes to our 2nd round pick. I DO NOT want them to trade up.

Mazi Smith reminds me more of Russell Maryland than Leon Lett. Lett was more of a pass rusher from the inside, more of a 3-tech. Maryland was the big fat run stuffer.

My guess is you have someone in mind in rounds 3 &4. I'd like to move up just a bit for Steve Avila if we have to. I have a feeling however Drew Sanders will be there when we pick next. Just imagine the defense next season if we add one more piece.

His non stop relentless motor is what reminds me of Leon Lett. Mazi is a very strong boy. He's going to cause all kinds of havic and cause a lot of night mare situations for O-lineman. Mazi will also make life much easier for Parsons. He's freed up now so we can use him in other ways. Stopping the run just became a strength for us.

Dream scenario for me would be for the Cowboys to finish the day with TE Zach LaPorta and RB Kendre Miller.

Return to Dallas Cowboys
