Exactly lol. Kings ain’t scared! Makes you think why our guys keeps on walking and barely crossing the halfcourt, instead of pushing and making these old guys run.
I’m becoming a huge fan of the Kings, but we gotta realise that the Finals is a whole different story of pressure. Yes we should have won last year , but it’s not fair to compare to this series.
Well we had the better overall team last year talent wise. We played scared, and the warriors built confidence as the series went along. We tried to outshoot them, which is a mistake, instead of pushing and attacking inside, since our team is younger and bigger. I’m sick of all the excuses, how Tatum looked tired in the finals lol. The guy is in his 20’s lol. You get tired if your shots ain’t falling, you get tired easily if the other team defends you well. Same excuses when we lost in the bubble haha. No b2b ganes in the finals. Every player have time to rest and recover in between games.
I have to disagree. The Warriors were loaded. Preseason favorites on paper to win it all and Celtics were doubtful to even make the playoffs. Warriors - when healthy - were as good defensively as Celtics with Rob at peak (to start season and during playoffs) and had much more firepower. They had a deeper bench too. Klay, Curry, Wiggins, Poole all had ability to drop 20 and average 20 for a season. As good as Celtics were defensively they couldn’t score enough points to win and Tatum/Brown couldn’t be relied on to score 60 ppg against their defense. It’s not an excuse …. It’s fantasy to think Celtics were the better team. When the Warriors were down 2-1, Kerr publicly said “we are better than them and we know it” and then the team matter of factly showed it to be true and dominated the remainder of series.
The Kings are a 3 seed playing a 6 seed and lost 3 straight before winning game 6. I hope they pull off game 7 at home but I expect the championship tested Warriors to rise up despite the turmoil that has almost derailed this season.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."
