It's more like the Heat and Butler in particular weren't at their normal level in 2021 due to their insanely short offseason. The other times he's faced the Heat, he's got embarrassed.

Kicking a man when he's down. A time-worn tradition that endures.

Pretty illogical statement. Injuries to other stars are part of the game. This is silly.

I don't see it that way. I saw it more as one of the only times Giannis said something douchey, that's why I remembered it. I just thought it was amusing that it blew up in his face a bit now.

Yeah, 2021 is looking like the fluke at this point.

Wow. I didn't know he said that. I guess Giannis deserved what he got.

At least he didn't leave the franchise that drafted him to join forces with others. He won for the franchise that drafted him.

Commendable thing that has been done by all the GOAT candidates.

i mean to be fair, Jimmy never really joined a super team like other stars did. He was traded to Philly and signed to the HEAT when he could've signed to other teams with legit stars at the time

Same thing with the Lakers that year too. When healthy we're seeing that proved out to be the case.
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

Took Nuggets time to get healthy too. That short turnaround was so tough on a lot of teams. Only reason Celtics recovered to last season from the conference finals was that they managed to swap out Kemba for Horford.

I kinda think that while a dumb thing to say, ye was right.
The Heat aren't a regular season juggernaut and the bubble eliminated HC advantage. Check.
The Heat also emphasize fitness and training more than nearly any other team, which was an advantage after resuming play after an extended break.
Check.
Dumb thing to say out loud and he deserves to be raked for it, but I don't think he's wrong tbh.
