With another ring, where does Curry rank?
As amazing as Curry is, I honestly feel that he’s underrated. People like to establish this era as Bron’s era but it’s just as much as Curry’s era. With another ring, where would you rank Curry all time?
To me, he’s the best (or most dangerous) scorer of this generation. Yes, over Bron, KD and Bron. I could see the argument for him being top 5-7. Where would y’all rank him with another chip and continued performance

He's definitely a better scorer and offensive player than Lebron, but Lebron has a huge defensive edge, and is clearly better overall. I'm also currently wrestling with how to rank Curry. I've got Lebron at #1, and out of Curry reach, but guys in the 6-10 range, I'm honestly debating.

Amongst basketball aficionados like us? Maybe moves him up one spot or so into the top 8/9.
Amongst talk shows? Better than LeBron and top 3 ever. They’ll milk that 4-1 head to head in playoff series stat for ever.

I would say easy 5-7. Arguably the best offensive player (with gravity) ever. Dominated a league for 8 years while the other superstars (Lebron, KD, Kawhi) had to partner up to beat him.

Bron at #1? On what basis? What makes Bron better than Jordan? Bron potentially will have won only once against Curry in the playoffs his entire career. It’s not like we can act like Curry has an elite team this year either

Why do we do this?

Eh, this is very reliant on Lebron's career being extended will beyond a normal one. Lebron actually won more championships during Steph's prime than Steph. If we actually look at an era instead of the moving target sign that is Lebron's career, The 2010's ended with Lebron winning more championships, making nearly twice as many finals, winning as many mvp's, making more all-nba's, winning more mvp votes. And that doesn't touch into the rather large emperical gap between the two in-terms of individual value in the regular season and the playoffs or milestons like becoming the #1 all-time scorer.
If Curry wins this championship he would have a head-start for being the force of the 2020's(and overall more team success if that's how you look at things) but this is a bit premature right now

Re: With another ring, where does Curry rank?
It gives him a Magic-level prime résumé, albeit with fewer MVPs, fewer MVP shares, fewer Finals MVPs, fewer playoff appearances… but it is also a tougher era so there is some leeway, and Curry’s career is set to continue in a way Magic’s was not allowed to.
Again though this notion that this series against the 25th ranked defence secures him as a better scorer than Lebron… were any of you saying this after last year’s Memphis series, where Ja completely outplayed him offensively? Forget Lebron for a minute, prime playoff Kawhi has Lebron-esque volume on 63% efficiency. Steph might be the top offensive player of this generation, but the reason for that is not because anyone should see him as some legitimately unstoppable scorer.

This is flat out wrong lmao. Steph has won 4 rings in his prime. Bron has won 2 rings in Steph’s prime. Your argument falls completely apart with that.

I'm really just confused here. Who did Kawhi "team up with" to beat him? He was traded. The only player who "teamed up" for a win vs steph was Lebron and he teamed up with....kyrie

Being the best player.

Playing the sport better.

We can say Curry had the better team than Lebron every year, and this is pretty much the same exact team as last year minus Otto Porter.
But I will put it another way: the worse you see Lebron, the less impressive it is that Curry had to team up with Durant to beat him in his prime. Draymond understands that; weird how few Warriors fans do. Guess it speaks to how after four rings, nothing can remove the sting of 2016.

I already addressed your cherry picked stats. Curry is clearly a better scorer than Lebron. You used per 75 which isn’t a widely used stat in any capacity then tried to cherry pick Bron’s years in order to make his stats look better which is completely silly.

2022 is prime Lebron and 2013 is not prime Curry, fascinating.
Now, excluding 2012 is fair, so it is three rings apiece. Also three Finals MVPs apiece, but that is the penalty of needing to add Durant to your 73-win core to win two of those titles.

Unless we count 2015-2020 as post-prime for Lebron, 2012 and 2013 certainly count as Steph's...

You’re a moron. I’m not even a Warriors fan. YOU BASED LEBRON’S PLAYOFF STATS ON 2013-23. THOSE ARE CHERRY-PICKED STATS WHICH MAKE THEM GARBAGE. Lebron’s real stats are his real stats. Simple as that and they’re worse than Curry’s scoring stats.
