5x8 in the East
6 x 7 in the West
Wonder if that’s ever happened lol
Miami x LaL finals would be a WC7 vs EC8..unreal.

In the west you say.
Celtics and Philly with a healthy Embiid could do it in the Finals. Nobody in the West has the stones or talent to do it..I guess maybe Denver if Jokic goes absolutely nuclear.
You think we do?Ill be rooting on them to get eliminated before the finals. Probably not against the lakers though. They can lose against denver.
Not the stones but we do have the talent for sure.

I thought Sabonis was an all-star? Shouldn’t allow a guy to grab 21 rebounds
To be fair, the Warriors are a terrible match up for him. Specifically on the boards, he's constantly out of position because he has to be way up on the screens to deter Curry pull ups until the guard can get around the screen. Nobody else came inside to help rebound or put a body on Looney so I think his teammates deserve a large portion of the blame.

You see this performance and then remember we lost a game to the Warriors where Curry went 0-9 from three. Opportunities are a funny thing.

Al Horford who is 98 years old wouldn’t allow Looney to have 21 rebounds. I get your point but……….

He has to take major blame for this one. Bad match up or not they literally don't guard him on the offensive side. His numbers look good but very disappointing game.
I apologize for the things I have said in the past.

Instead the 2nd plays the 3rd, and the 8th plays the 5th seed???
In the West, 6th is going to play 7th, while 1st seed plays the 4th???
This is Stupid.
I disagree. If the 8th seed beats the 1st seed they earn the right to take their spot. It is as it should be.
No Way. Based upon their record, 8th Seed is 14 Wins behind the 1st Seed.
One Series isn't enough to redeem that. They should face the next highest team.
If the 8th is that good, then let them beat all the high seeds.
Reseeding is definitely necessary, in this scenario. IMO

Any one still think the Kings proved more than the 2022 Celtics?

Yeah offensively he was disappointing. He is fairly limited as a scorer when he can't move guys in the post and Looney and Green are two of the few guys that are strong enough to hold their ground down low against him but that's a different issue than saying he shouldn't be an all star because a player on the other team grabbed a bunch of rebounds.
I'm just saying that blaming Sabonis for the Kings rebounding woes is a bit rich considering he was constantly helping out in the pick and roll and nobody else put any effort in crashing the boards. For additional context, Sabonis led the league in total rebounds and in rebounds per game by a pretty decent margin. If you don't think he should be an all star that's fine but his rebounding is literally the last thing that should be used to discredit his credentials as top player.
The most rebounds by a player in a NBA game is Wilt Chamberlain with 55. The center on the other team that day ? Bill Russell. Using that same logic Russell shouldn't have been an all star. Some days the ball just bounces the wrong way off the rim and/or your teammates don't help out. Yes it sucks when that happens during a game 7 but there's no need to read more into than that.

I don't have a problem with him being an all-star that would be crazy. I just feel he should have done more offensively this game. I haven't watched the whole series.

Serious question: is/are there any professional sports leagues that do it the way you're asking for, Parliament? Or major college sports?
I don't care, personally. Weird stuff happens, and you've got to beat a bunch of playoff teams to win the title. Some 'paths' work out easier than others, but luck is part of it. Case in point, ask Celtics fans if they'd rather play PHI with an injured Embiid tomorrow, or the Heat. I think most would pick the 3 seed over the 8.

NHL has had reseeding I believe.
