One Series isn't enough to redeem that. They should face the next highest team.

If the 8th is that good, then let them beat all the high seeds.
Reseeding is definitely necessary, in this scenario. IMO

Serious question: is/are there any professional sports leagues that do it the way you're asking for, Parliament? Or major college sports?

I don't care, personally. Weird stuff happens, and you've got to beat a bunch of playoff teams to win the title. Some 'paths' work out easier than others, but luck is part of it. Case in point, ask Celtics fans if they'd rather play PHI with an injured Embiid tomorrow, or the Heat. I think most would pick the 3 seed over the 8.

NHL has had reseeding I believe.

NFL does it too.

I don't watch hockey but I check the scores around playoff time alot and I could be wrong here but it seems like the bruins have these kinds of heartbreaking losses in the postseason alot. Also didn't they have a historic year? Yikes. Sorry if I'm wrong about any of this.

Yes and yes. I loved this team especially, lots of connections to UMaine and they just rip your heart out

Yea but NFL kinda of apple and oranges, with NFL being single elimination and week between the games. NBA like too much have a full set of games on the weekends , so having fixed brackets lets them start 2nd round early before all the 1st round series are finished. Other wise the Heat, Philly and knicks would be waiting till the Celtics and Hawks series wrapped.

Watching all-stars/good bigs like Sabonis, Ayton, Bam, Cavs frontline, KAT, Embiid etc, being out hustled, out played, mind **** by role players make me sad…

Bruins only lose 12 games out of 82, and then lose 4 out of 7. Ugh. :censored:

Gives you a pretty good idea where teams should be spending their money. Wings, wings, wings and more wings

That's where the Celtics should spend their money. I'm fine with other teams dropping their entire budget on a non premium position.

LOL, Curry didn't score 50 because Sabonis got owned.

Curry scored 50 points partly because Sabonis couldn't keep Looney off the glass. Looney with 10 offensive rebounds by himself. Warriors with 18 offensive rebounds.

I wonder if there ever was a conference semis field featuring all 8 seeds before today.

1 DEN
2 BOS
3 PHI
4 PHX
5 NYK
6 GSW
7 LAL
8 MIA

Can't believe I gotta want GSW to win. Ugh. How is climate change coming along? I feel like a couple sink holes or earthquakes could be just the thing to get me a win win!

The Jimmy Butlers are a tough out but I'm not too focused on rooting for nyk, I want Knicks to win but I don't really care.

I have Denver as the only team I really want to win if we don't. I just want to beat every team in a fight til death scenario so it leaves no doubt who the TEAM is! I'll settle for the 16 wins over all the teams we face tho!

Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today thinks the Celtics are the worst remaining playoff team and makes a living writing NBA articles.

Sounds like a disoriented person.
