They celebrated Willie Nelson's 90th Birthday at the Hollywood Bowl with a whole bunch of musicians like Neil Young, Stephen Stills, Snoop Dog, Lukas Nelson, Beck, Keith Richards and many others. Willie sounds INCREDIBLE for 90 years old. Yeah, a bunch of old rockers. Just like Wingo.

Watch Snoop singing country music with Willie and smoking a doobie on stage!

The weed is keeping Willie young

If you've never heard Snoop talk about one of the many times he hung out with Willie, watch this.

I never get tired of hearing him tell this story. Willie had Snoop f*cked up

Willie's not the only one. 8-) I am a true believer in its many medicinal uses. We, as humans, are born with cannabinoid receptors in our brains. Why would we be born with cannabis receptors in our brains if we were meant to receive cannabis?

I think Richards looks and sounds pretty good too. Who'd ever believe that Keef even be alive today much less still rocking? I believe Stills lost some of his hearing and his singing chops but he abused cocaine for so long that it's not surprising.

Legendary Canadian folk singer-songwriter Gordon Lightfoot is dead at 84. One of my favorites. Dylan and Kristopherson have called Lightfoot their favorite singer-songwriter.

Here's a breakdown of If You Could Read My Mind by musician/producer Rick Beato, who also discusses Lightfoot's career. Beato also does this with lots of other great songs. Cool stuff.

"Zooted"? (That reminds me! 8-) ) Never heard of that term before but I knew exactly what it meant.

That's some great onomatopoeia.

Is that what this song is about? I never knew. I’ll have to check out the lyrics. Cool.

The Queen has died.

I think that this probably deserves it's own thread but rock and soul legend Tina Turner - The Queen of Rock and Roll - has passed away. Man, I can remember watching Ike and Tina on TV performing "Proud Mary" with the Ikettes and losing my mind at 11 years old.

The rawness of her soul singing was unmatched. This is one of my favorites:
