More defense. Another CB. Don't know anything about him yet. I was hoping to go OL again. I had 2 of them on my list along with DeWayne McBride.

He can be easily converted to guard. I also believe this kid is about 6'5" tall. I'm just surprised someone on the Cowboys sniffed him out.

Yea OL at this point in the draft is always a good idea. That and CB’s

That’s an interesting pick considering they already have Turpin.

This guy Hunter Luepke was signed as an undrafted free agent. Apparently he’s going to play FB if he makes the team. Looks like he might be the big short yardage RB the Cowboys need. I still think they resign Zeke by the way.

What does the RB room look like? Pollard, Deuce...???

Are they that thin at RB that they would bring Zeke back?

As far as I know the RB looks like

Tony Pollard
Ronald Jones
Malik Davis
Duece Vaughn
Hunter Luepke

Realistically I’d expect Luepke to end up on the practice squad. Also I think they will end up cutting Ron Jones. I believe it will end up like this.

Tony Pollard
Zeke
Malik Davis
Deuce Vaughn

Deuce Vaughn will likely be the new gadget guy. Turpin better watch his back. He may have to take a couple punts or kicks to the house to save his job from Deuce.

Been watching Deuce Vaugne highlights, man he is TINY TINY TINY.

5'5"...179 lbs.

He did not run the 40 at the combine but he looks very speedy on highlight reels. So he may be good for a change of pace speed play here and there. I think he can hit a homerun but obviously he is just too small to grind hard yardage.

Yea at his size he will never be anything more than a gadget guy or 3rd down back. Also I would durability to always be an issue with him too. But early in his career if you can get him the ball in the open field get ready for fireworks because dude has some wheels on him. He’s an extremely good receiver too.

It would be pretty cool if Hunter Luepke turned into one of these guys in MM’s offense. Dallas hasn’t really had a player like that before except for maybe Moose.

The last thing we need is to bring Zeke back. Please. He's cashed.

For the most part I'm happy. Still did not like our round 2 pick. Mazi is going to elevate the run defense. Can't wait to see his imact !!! Now Parsons is freed up to take advantage of his strength's. Love the commitment to the defense.

Schoonmaker looks like a very competent route runner and receiver to me. I will say that he doesn't look like anything spectacular, just "good". Somewhere inbetween Schultz and Witten.

Do you think Dak can make a dump down throw to him without throwing a INT?

I’ve been watching a some videos of him and listening to some of the scouting. He’s a slightly bigger more athletic Dalton Schultz. Honestly I’d say his ceiling is Dalton Schultz. The difference is they’ll be paying Schoonmaker $10M less per season than Schultz.

Don’t know if you guys saw this video from the Cowboys war room when they decided on Mazi.

This is rare insight. So many picks Cowboy fans argue who was behind it, Jerry? Stephen? Stephen stopped Jerry from taking Manziel turned out to be a BS rumor. Much of it is left up for fans to guess or make assumptions. But here with Mazi we see exactly what happened.

The only thing I'd add is that their big board probably had Mazi on top already but what we are seeing here is probably the follow up to Jerry asking "does anyone object to Mazi?"

The other thing we can see here is that LOTS of people are in on draft picks. None on the picks are just one person. It's input from lots of people.
