This is why some of us were concerned about the minutes count in the 1st round. No other star player in the playoffs is even close to minutes count as ours.

Honestly not having a 3rd PG on the team when your two point guards are CP3 and Payne is a major miss. We literally loaded up on every other position except the one that needed the help. I don’t get why Ish is the main roster.

Serious question.

It's up there. I seem to remember a few failures. The Kurt Thomas situation, trading Marion for Shaq, bending to memes about our defense and firing D'Antoni, etc. Worst decision of all time was hiring McDonough however.

Ummmmmmmm. You guys are both missing the most obvious choice here. Something that this board gives me hate for on a daily basis. The easiest answer to what Sarver did worse:

Choosing Ayton over Luka. Made even worse by the fact we had his national coach as our guy already. McD has gone on to say that was a Sarver move, not one by him.

Link? Considering how much Sarver prefers offense over defense and a run n gun team and also the fact that he leaked out the reports about Suns preferring a Looney type C instead of max C and all that, I find that hard to believe Sarver wanted Ayton.

I think McD wanted Ayton and Sarver didn’t want to interfere but that was the one time when he actually should have.

Tom Izzo would be a fine GM imo

If CP3 didn't play heavy minutes in the first round he would have never got hurt because he'd be in Cancun already. Payne is always hurt or sucking. Shamet is laughably bad. I mean there's no other good options in the backcourt. Monty playing CP3 and Book in the ground in solely on JJ imo. I don't like Monty as a coach but man his hands are tied sometimes with this roster

We wasted a poor Murray game on the road and we're now down 0-2.

Positive is that we've shown we have fight in us. Our offense is dog ugly but playing at altitude is always tough.

Back to Phoenix we go

Ishbia is part of the problem.

As bad as JJ has been it probably wasn't his choice to give up our future for an aging KD.

I don’t blame James Jones since I feel he was handcuffed with Sarver. This is totally on Monty for his poor rotations. Okogie is showing why he is minimum player. Payne should be aggressively attacking the paint and not shooting jumpers. I can understand Warren not playing but Ross should absolutely be getting playing time when we can’t buy a bucket. It’s not like the Nuggets have top tier defense.

He just brought Izzo and Isaiah Thomas to the last series. I don't see anyone surviving a 2nd round exit

It was during a conversation he had when he worked for NBA TV. He says basically after someone asked him about it that "well I just hired his coach so that should tell you what direction I was leaning and there's only 1 way I can be overruled"

what coach is going to make DA a factor without having to hold his hand? Hint: Not one out there. 7.5 rebounds per game this series. thats Josh Heart the SF rebounding number territory. Absolutely pathetic.

I always think of his quote when he paired Marbury and Francis in the backcourt together, two shoot first PGs....as "It's so crazy it just might work." I think he also tried a two big lineup with Eddy Curry and someone else. I wanna say Zach Randolph because he was there but I think it was someone else before that.

Saw a stat that the Suns are 0-12 all time in series when they're down 2-0. I don't see this team changing that.

Booker's never been 0-2 until Durant joined the team.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

lol we dont run this 0.5 offense for more than a year.

it is not about running an offense like this.
it is about the mentality to establish an offense.
if you have kd you have to run your offense differently.
you have to adapt, most of the times the suns look clueless on offense.
that's why i was refering to the argument that this should never have happened during the season.

well KD played 0.5 in Golden State, if we kept playing this style he would fit in like a glove.
not sure why we reverted to this 1x1 crap like mark J and kidd did in playoffs.

can not argue against this, but the suns need the players to do so.
craig and okogie are not moving parts on offense.
camj and mikal were.
i can list both line ups and see the difference why the sturgge is real in terms of offensive impact.

1. booker --> booker
2. KD --> ayton
3. ayton --> mikal
4. paul --> paul
5. craig --> okogie
6- okogie --> camp
7. camp --> camj
8. landale --> craig
etc

you see that the fí´´offensive roles of okogie/craig changed with the trade too.
it is not about adding KD. it is more to orchestrate an offense and roster that fits parts 1-4 booker, kd, paul, ayton.
okogie, craig, shamet in their offensive roles arent that.
with the twins, suns had offensive threats the opp team had to respect. not they can camp and double and with limited ball movemnt and shooting this offense fails.
