I hate there are so many idiots who think the only 2 options the Suns had was “made the KD trade or do nothing” in February.
I said this back in February when the trade was made, we had other options than make this crazy ass deal. Look at the fcking Lakers. They were utter garbage for all season long and made a trade without blowing up their team in February and now they’re well on their way to like semi finals or finals and another chip. They know how to construct an actual team in LA and know it’s not all about just big names, that’s why they have like a billion championships.
Again, that Dlo/Vando trade is what the Suns should have done. Dlo is immediate upgrade over Payne and Vando is a plug and play PF that would help Ayton as Vando is a top 5 defender in the NBA.
And we could’ve got all that for just 1 palty first rd pick. And likely got Rui for Crowder and 2nd too. Remember when bunch of idiots thought Rui was a bad trade for Lakers and they were glad Suns didn’t trade for him? Lmaoo.
Imagine a lineup of
CP3
Booker
Bridges
Vando
Ayton
With Dlo/Johnson/Rui/Biyombo all of the bench.
That’s an actual complete team. Enough shooting and defense in the starters and great bench scoring to supplement it. It would make us good in the present and better for the future. Not the cluster fck we have now.

Former Nets player , best player in infamous Boston sweep , and yes he was better than KD in all 4 games , that’s gotta tell you something
Why couldn’t you guys trade him to another team? Maybe we’d be looking at Suns leading the series 2-0. Maybe I need to put the marijuana down cause I’m not making sense.

We never traded him , he was the hardest working Nets player always , and always gives 110% every game , our idiot GM when Bruce contract expire never even talked to him , so Bruce then said ok , I’ll talk to the other teams and Nuggets called and signed him
Nets signed Patty Mills to the same contract as Nuggets signed Bruce Brown
Nets GM is an idiot

KD has come back from 0-2 at least twice, so there’s that.
I was calling for Payne and now I feel terrible cause he was terrible. But we need something from the bench period. Never giving Ross a chance is/was so weird. Warren too.
I think we were gassed in the 4th. Booker was still taking heat checks even after he cooled off.
Not giving up hope yet, but we are def done if no bench guys can step up at home. I worry their confidence is shot.

KD also got swept last year
And year before he went from 2-0 to 3-4 although then it was mostly related to injuries of other players
I be brutally honest with you , if you think KD might get nuclear in one of the games and win the game by himself , yes he might be still capable to do this
If you think KD gonna win you 4 of 5 remaining games you gonna be disappointed, I don’t think he’s that good

Nah def need a team effort to come back from 0-2. No doubt about it. Need KD and Book to be great, Ayton to be good, and decent contributions elsewhere. Anything less we are toast.

And both teams have their picks and younger talent/ depth too along with likely making it further than us. This strategy will need strict scrutiny on the entire process vs long term risk assessment.
Maybe we can trade cp3 to a franchise saving trade like what Lakers got for Westbrick
Really though, at this point in his career, the only teams that would have legitimate trade interest in Paul considering his struggles/ disintegration would be hard capped or luxury teams ready to tank, or else just needing him for a salary reduction to lessen tax penalties. The most legitimate teams in that category are:
1- Toronto.
For cap savings towards resigning Siakim to supermax and also extending Anunoby with max increases. We feasibly could get Van Vleet and Trent Jr or Van Vleet and Boucher for Paul and Shamet because the raptors would also be looking to tank and build around their younger core too. Paul accommodates that with his struggles/ durability issues.
2- Philly.
For a fallback option IF they happen to lose Harden to Houston? Most likely for Tobias Harris (equitable contract)?
3- Miami.
Maybe for Lowry so they can get off his deal early? Thrown in Shamet for a Lowry/ Robinson return and we could probably glean a mild pick off them in return too for the savings.
4- Maybe Clippers??
Primarily for savings, but also to bring him home to retire in LA too. They already have Westbrook that's currently played better on the cheap. Also Gordon's 20 million expiring. But adding Paul on top of Gordon's expiring in a swap for long term salary, something like Paul for maybe Covington/ Zubac/ Coffey? This would save them an additional 14 million off their luxury tax repeater penalties as soon as 24/25.

I thought Bruce Brown looked really good last year too but our stupid GM is the worst when picking up bargain signings in the off season. There's also the disastrous Shamet signing which was a head scratcher as we offered him a rookie extension when he hadn't even seen the floor for a minute.

Didn't he basically say the same thing about game 7 last season in the Mavs series? Downplaying the urgency!! And look how that turned out. Be careful what you ask for!!

****, we were so **** close to get a solid advantage in the third quarter and CP3 got injured.
We were up 8 points in the middle of the third and we were rolling. It's a shame that Cam Payne played VERY BAD because with a good game from him we could be 1-1 ATM.
Obviously we need some player to step up his production, Lee and Payne had a huge opportunity tonight and both failed miserably, ****.
KD with a bad shooting night but he gave his all on both ends. I enjoy watching him every second that he is on the court.
Book was gassed in the fourth, too many responsibilities and he needed another shot creator next to him. I would love to watch Warren in the next game, I seriously think that he can help a lot on offense.
It's not over yet, we can do it. Next game at home is gonna be fun!

Watanabe is another player I was high on as a bench player that JJ probably isn't even aware is even in the league. Instead he picked up Ish Wainright and DJ Washington Jr who was waived mid season. We should have had a lot of proven veterans clamoring to sign with us in the offseason but for some reason JJ can never sign anyone of any value here.

It's really not all that complicated of a correlative man! Last year in the Mavs series we didn't close out the game and after the leydown loss in game 6 Booker basically said the same thing about being excited for his first ever game 7 and they he was looking forward to it.
He should the exact same lack of concern or urgency towards being down in the series and remind me again how his casual, non chalfant demeanor and general lack of concern worked out for our postseason aspirations in that series?? This team has a serious lack of fire. A lack of urgency to get the job done and to repeatedly underestimate and take their situation lightly and it's resulted in a pretty disappointing negative outcome. Winners close and don't downplay the seriousness of their situations in pursuit of championships.
But overall, it's a pretty simple correlation that he's downplayed the severity of the situation before. And here tonight he's doing it again. It doesn't get simpler than that to make that connection obviously.

I was torn and relieved when KD trade happened, torn because I knew Nets era was gone even as a fringe contender but relieved because all drama squad came to and end
And at the time I thought we lost the trade , simply I didn’t watch much Suns games , so my impressions was ,we’ll role players nothing else , and picks but picks could be low with how all was hyping KD/CP3/Book for next 3-4 years
After seeing Mikal and Cam J play I was relieved that this guys is actually pretty cool and both of them still got upside , then it’s trucked me , why in hell Suns Gm asked for Warren attachment with KD , didn’t make any sense , it was at least 3 better players to ask for
Seth Curry - microwave shooter, great piece on contending team , not on Nets anymore
Edmond Sumner - lightning quick 2nd or 3rd point guard ( would be very handy for you right now ) likely will be gone from our team too
Yuta Watanabe - great 3 point shooter and very underrated defender , guy is all hassle and playing 110% always
What was your GM thinking giving away Mikal CamJ and all those picks ??? Did name KD blinded him enough that he forgot to ask for more ? I don’t know but I think he could’ve asked for more
Ps , maybe there wasn’t enough roster spots on Suns , but I would’ve cut Shamet anytime for Yuta

Very well said , it’s hard to disagree with any of the points you made
Imagine:
Haliburton
Booker
Bridges
Cam Jo
Ayton
With CP3/Bane/Vando/Rui/Biyombo as the bench. Because if we just drafted the obvious player that is what we'd be looking at. James Jones never deserved exec of the year. Ayton's suspension killed the team the year before he arrived. With Rubio and Ayton we would've been like a 4 seed. We added CP3 and skyrocketed due to him and Ayton not being suspended. We were destined to be much better regardless of GM. Drafting Cam was good and all but that is the only real diamond in the rough he ever found, and he passed on god knows how many all star games between Haliburton and Bane.
He should be shown the door with Monty. Unfortunately, I am worried IT would be the GM, which would be horrific.

Any word on Chris Paul? Three day rest before the start of game 3 ,but groin injuries tend to linger.
