I’m frustrated at the loss, I’m annoyed at the defense, and I have some concerns about Joe.

That said, some of the posts last night were embarrassing lol, even for in the moment. “The series is over, it’s as simple as that.”

I personally love the “I’m not gonna watch”….as if anyone GAF or if it has any baring on the outcome of the series lol. No one cares and the fact you’re announcing it- shows you do way too much.

I’d like to see more grant personally moving forward. Don’t care that for the majority of 23’ he’s been bad. I think we can use his versatility and I think he can redeem himself.

So the chances are extremely high that Boston will go on to lose the series if they don't win tomorrow.

I haven't been that ticked off, over a basketball game, in a long time. Between Jaylen, the walking turnover, and the lack of defensive game plan/lack of defensive effort, I found myself seriously missing Ime. He was a defense first coach and a disciplinarian who demanded excellence. Coach Joe, on the other hand, is the definition of a 'players' coach, IMO. There's absolutely no reason why this team can't get back to last year's blueprint but it feels like they want to do it 'their way' and they're being allowed to do just that. Last year's defensive player of the year, who has completely shutdown that ugly beard guy for years, all of a sudden lost his mojo? Please. Ime left them the blueprint for success and they need to get back to it before it's too late.

Yeah that's what I was saying last night watching the game. They were up by four which I know isn't a lot, then they start trying to milk the clock which ultimately ends up with them turning the ball over or putting up a bad shot

As frustrating as this team can be to watch at times, I agree with Kenny on this take. It's a 7-game series for a reason. It's the playoffs where everyone is good. Should Boston have won that game last night? Absolutely! But they didn't. They didn't execute down the stretch. It took a 45-point miraculous effort from Fat Harden to win the game. Doubtful that Harden can sustain that type of effort throughout this series. Let's chalk that up as the Harden game and move on.

Here's what I know. Now that Philly stole game 1. They are likely to sit Embiid again in Game 2 for the extra rest. Boston will win game 2 easily. Embiid will be back for game 3 at home, but guess what? He still won't be 100%....But it'll take Philly some time to find their flow again. Boston wins game 3 as well. So regardless of what happens in Game 4, Boston at worst is coming back to Boston 2-2 in the series. Because Boston struggles to close out games, and because they struggle with consistency, I see this going 6 or 7.
Not going to panic. Again, it's all about winning and advancing. 2008 taught us this. 7 games against the Hawks. 7 games against the Cavs. 6 against the Pistons and 6 against the Lakers.

I disagree completely and agree with JWill. This is humiliating and it is time to panic. There is no reason this series should be coming back to Boston 2-2. And one big thing you forget about the 2008 team compared to this team. They were unbeatable at home. They only lost 1 game at home in the playoffs and that was by a point. Every other games were blowouts at home. It was frustrating they were not winning on the road but at no time did I ever think they were not in control of their own destiny. This team today is a s*** show.

Maybe the fans should stop comparing this team to the 08 or other teams of the past? Sounds like a fan issue. They aren’t those teams and while I’m bullish on this team and do think we will be back in the finals comparing this iteration to others is silly.

This is the 2023 Celtics…not reds. Not kg’s. Not your favorite Celtics team. Not your dads Celtics. Not cornbreads or Hondo’s. Their own squad. Last night was a brutal and humiliating loss but that’s all it was….one terrible loss. I’ll start to cry mope and stop watching when they lose 4x in a series.

They need to respond…big time. Believe they will.

To me, this sounds like no one is holding the players accountable, unlike during Udoka's time with the Celtics.

Nonetheless, it speaks to the immaturity of these Celtics players if they still need someone to hold them accountable for not putting enough effort especially on the defensive end.
