We went in to Denver and almost stole 1. We gotta take care of home and try to get one in Denver either game 5 or 7.
But this series definitely ain’t over.

Why do you guys keep talking about a trade. Future draft picks ain’t helping anyone win championships.

Bridges and Cam < Durant. Durant is a walking living legend. Stop.

The problem isn’t the trade, it’s MONTY WILLIAMS!!!

Didn't they trade picks for KD for that specific reason - winning championship ?

KD trade can still turn out to be good if they win a championship, but as I said before the playoffs Suns are not a team just yet so I don't expect anything big this year. The way KD has played against the Nuggets though with so many TOs and bad shooting, makes me think a motivated for a max contract Irving + Mikal + Cam would have given a lot better chance at a title this year if Ishbia was so determined to bring a big name after taking over. Irving/Booker/Mikal/Cam/Ayton lineup would score a lot more than 87 pts despite Monty.

I would understand it a bit more if the 2nd round pick was for next season but this pick is so far off in the future it has zero impact to the Suns winning now.

Bazley has also looked incredibly raw and not ready to contribute in the few minutes he's played so we got a worse player than Dario and no proven veteran to help play in these playoffs.

Who knows. Dario's spacing and fouls are much needed now. It's baffling but JJ has been like that by admitting he doesn't scout the draft, want young players, or would have even drafted Booker.

Former Nets player , best player in infamous Boston sweep , and yes he was better than KD in all 4 games , that’s gotta tell you something

Rhetorical question because he was beefing with Booker.

I’m not a Monty fan at all but this unfair criticism…the main reason we had a bad record was because basically every single one of our players except Mikal kept taking turns getting injured and missing games.

It was during this time that Mikal really took on a scoring role and showed that #2 option scorer ability in him.

If we had our team from February before the trade healthy, I think we win this series in 6.

I wish Ishbia showed patience and actually saw it through for just half a season and waited to bust his nut till the summer.

It wasn’t our GM, it was our new moronic owner that wanted to make a splash. He’s someone that got rich off his daddy’s company and he got his new toy and wanted to make some headlines.

He really thought the KD trade would be equivalent to Joe Lacob trading away Monta Ellis for Andrew Bogut. Except the cost was 10x as high.

James Jones isn’t a good GM as evidenced by all other Suns transactions but can’t blame him for the KD trade because by all accounts, him and Sarver were always against giving up this much for KD.

Exactly. Ishbia was with his buddies at dinner and he took his "d**k" out and wanted to show everybody how big it was. The trade too me always took way too much depth away. I know Crowder wasn't playing that was a lot of depth too lose

I still think a trade with Ainge for conley/vando could have happened

Now its what can they get for Ayton? What can they get for Paul before June 28'
'
Lastly Jones is too blame for thinking Payne and Shamet were quality options at the 3rd guard. And was it Sarver that didn't want to use the TPMLE last summer

I just meant that the Suns didn't have anyone to throw in Crowder's place when times were tough and experience was needed. Somehow it feels like Moronty is not pulling the right strings. The Heats played Robinson successfully in the playoffs, why can't Ross be seen on the court. Westbrook is one of the weakest defenders and still played as much as he could. Even Kevin Love is doing great, of course he was promised playing time as was Ross. The GM should also have some power if he acquires specific players to strengthen the team. Now this is not the case with the Suns. Somehow it feels like Moronty is waging his own war against Ishbia and JJ as a disappointment when the twins were traded away.

Chris Paul doesn't play the rest of the series - will be his last game with the Suns and he will be traded on draft night

I said this back in February when the trade was made, we had other options than make this crazy ass deal. Look at the fcking Lakers. They were utter garbage for all season long and made a trade without blowing up their team in February and now they’re well on their way to like semi finals or finals and another chip. They know how to construct an actual team in LA and know it’s not all about just big names, that’s why they have like a billion championships.

Again, that Dlo/Vando trade is what the Suns should have done. Dlo is immediate upgrade over Payne and Vando is a plug and play PF that would help Ayton as Vando is a top 5 defender in the NBA.

And we could’ve got all that for just 1 palty first rd pick. And likely got Rui for Crowder and 2nd too. Remember when bunch of idiots thought Rui was a bad trade for Lakers and they were glad Suns didn’t trade for him? Lmaoo.

Imagine a lineup of

CP3
Booker
Bridges
Vando
Ayton

With Dlo/Johnson/Rui/Biyombo all of the bench.

That’s an actual complete team. Enough shooting and defense in the starters and great bench scoring to supplement it. It would make us good in the present and better for the future. Not the cluster fck we have now.

Very well said , it’s hard to disagree with any of the points you made

I wish I wasn’t right man…I damn wish I wasn’t. Last time I felt so strongly against a trade that the Suns made was when they traded for Brandon Knight from the Bucks. But I hated this trade even more because there was no player of significance being traded away in the Knight deal, just a pick (lakers unprotected pick) but this had two fan favorites plus a gazillion unprotected picks.

Image

Still hurts just looking at it, jesus christ. Must be super exciting time to be a Nets fan though…this is the basketball gods making it right with you guys after Billy King fcked y’all over in the Celtics trade.

That slate of picks…man that is disgusting. We weren’t going to win a chip with the pre-trade team either but at least we had a reset option in the future. We’re just **** now. This trade was win a championship or it’s one of the worst trades ever, no in between. And it’s pretty obvious we aren’t winning it this year, which isn’t surprising or unexpected since it was a mid season trade. But that means next year is likely our only real shot considering the age of CO and KD. And the more I see of this team the less confidence I have we’d win a chip next year. CP might as well retire at this point, he doesn’t provide enough to justify the uncertainty of his health. Payne sucks now. So what are we gonna do, Point Book? KD doesn’t look like a Top 10 player to me. Maybe with a full summer he’s integrate better but it would be more logical to assume he’ll be slightly worse next year than better considering his age. We have no real way to improve the team over the summer, which isn’t good enough now, so it’s also illogical to assume we should be better next year. Ayton would either need to become a superstar, or Jones will need to pull of an Ayton trade where we’re the ones getting the better value. And the chances of either of those things happening is barely non-zero. I almost think we have to fire Monty this summer if for no other reason than what other significant change can we make? This team plus a few vet min signings ain’t doing **** next season. And we have no choice but to just ride this **** out until 2030…jesus

Nick Nurse would be a good coach - but my guess Ishbia will hire a buddy like Zeke or Izzo

I can see Ayton and Shamet for Kyrie/McGee type trade.

The trade was terrible for the Suns

I appreciate your concerns but the problem is not KD it’s the bench.
Maybe Ishbia fires Monty or adds a real assistant to the bench next year.
Maybe Ishbia says no to James Jones’ bargain shopping and makes him sign real players.
The only concern I have for next year is the PG spot. I’m already concerned about the bench but we have guys and d**khead Williams won’t play them.

Outside chance of sime Jedi-like performances from Book and KD, the season is done.

This franchise has been cursed with inept GMs since the Colingellos left town. Even they had their bozo moments. Finally for them, the Robey for DJ trade is being over shadowed. Thats still a stinger. But it was survivable. And we bounced back.

This KD deal will have a lingering stench as Bridges and Johnson close in on their peaks, while KD edges up to that slippery slope Paul is careening down…. And every other year we bypass the draft.

Next yr has potential to be worse with very limited options. We will not have enough skill and savy in the front office to offset 5 yrs of Junkyard’s neglect and MadMatt’s dinner date with ‘hey watch this’ desperation. Thats a lot to overcome.

We might catch a break in two yrs with big cap space. But who will be guiding the Death Star?

LOL. It’s not that bad bro. Take it easy. We’re still winning this series.

KD was so off and still gave you 24

D**khead Williams did his usual d**khead coaching and we still almost stole a game from the 1 seed.

Despite KDs off night and our d**khead coach we still almost won.

Just gotta overcome d**khead at home and steal one on the road.

Damion Lee 26 minutes 0 points.
Di*khead played 6 scrubs in a 2nd round playoff game vs the 1 seed.

Anyone who thinks this is KD or Ayton’s fault may need to reevaluate some things in their life.

We are already over the salary cap so we can't just spend even if Ishbia wanted to, now if we had some free agents we could sign I think we could resign them but we can't sign anyone that isn't on the roster this season to anything more than the MLE if not mistaken.

We are already over the salary cap so we can't just spend even if Ishbia wanted to, now if we had some free agents we could sign I think we could resign them but we can't sign anyone that isn't on the roster this season to anything more than the MLE if not mistaken.

Ok. We can still fire di*khead and get a new coach.
I mean it can’t be hard to find a better coach. 25 coaches in the NBA right now are better than him.

Nick nurse is a major upgrade.

I appreciate your concerns but the problem is not KD it’s the bench.
Maybe Ishbia fires Monty or adds a real assistant to the bench next year.

Paul and Payne are 37 going out but only guaranteed like 18 - what can the Suns get for that

Ayton - sign and trade for Kyrie or maybe the Blazers after they trade Dame Lillard for Mikal and a bunch of stuff

Mikal and Cam Johnson scored a combined 42 ppg in the playoffs for Brooklyn. Durant and TJ getting us 28 ppg.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.
