Re: GSW Dynasty is Over.
people that say 'steph is the system' really discredit draymond and klay's contribution to that system. i'd love to see how the warriors do without draymond next year.
u saw with 20 sec left, steph had the ball and couldn't do anything with it so he kicked it to poole for a unnecessarily long 3. he isn't an elite shot creator, he relies on defenses to make mistakes.

wrong - Steph was doubled at 30 and kicked it to Dray who then passed it to Poole.
unless you're suggesting Steph should've just launched that three from 30 while being draped by 2 Lakers with 15 seconds left in the shot clock, what's your point?

Even if ends in those 10 days, the thread was still proven wrong because you can still have a dynasty and lose in the 2nd or 3rd round because it means you still have what it takes to win again soon. When you get swept in the 1st round is when you know a dynasty is over and that's what his intention was that warriors were looking to get swept.
I think it's because Draymond might leave next year that's why the catchy thread title. He can opt-out and sign a big 1-2 year contract to some Playoffs team looking to upgrade defensively if Warriors FO continue to be cheap on him after everything he's done for the franchise. The defensive lynchpin of the Warriors dynasty who won 4 rings and made 6 NBA Finals can't even get a better contract than goofy Jordan Poole.

I still believe in GSW, dont get me wrong.
They gambled with KD, and its a very worthy one.
And its impressive how they were able to replace Barnes and Bogut with Wiggins and Looney, after KD left.
I think they’re a top 3 team to win the championship. Curry is still amazing and is my favorite player, if I had to have one.
But the thing that would give them a clear edge is Jordan Poole and their bench, both of which were key in their championship run last season.

I mean, Curry and the starters were their edge, lol. Nothing has changed on that front. Granted, Poole being worse certainly hurts.

And Poole and the bench drags them down so that edge is neutralized

Poole was 6/11 at 3s. Curry was 6/13. He has accomplished more than what expected from him. Apart from 3s what did Curry do? He has not played like a superstar. Average performance from him. I hate GS fans always blaming anyone else to save Curry. If Poole did not make those six 3s maybe GS would be demolished before 4th quarter.

Did you ever stop and wonder why Jordan Poole was open? Who is drawing the best defender?
Not Curry's best game but think a little more deeply about what's happening on the court.

And he might possibly want to consider they have a slightly larger sample than one game this season.

Curry's gravity is undeniable. There's more than enough evidence regarding that. But Poole wasn't even open on his made shots. Curry found him nicely on that last made three in the video. Apart from that these were all normal shots that he would get on pretty much any other team that doesn't feature Westbrook or MKG at the point guard spot.
Also, of course Poole isn't drawing the best defender. Any team that has Poole as their #1 option will not even make the playoffs. That team would be far worse than the Rockets or Spurs.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

Picking out players on the team to blame was formerly what other teams did.

I strongly suggest you try to understand what you read. Am I comparing Poole with Curry? Come on. Even a brainless will not do that. Poole is the 3rd or 4th player and he over accomplished with 6/11 threes. How many stars playing with a superstar is making these amount of shots? He made some diffucult shots and still being critised by GS fans for just missing the last shot. He absolutely relieved GS and did not let LA to make a huge lead before 4th quarter.
It is very ugly to make Poole responsible for the loss. I am following Curry for years and everytime he loses we are listening excuses from his fans. But this time it became really riduculous putting the blame on Poole.

GS was down 0-2 and came back against the Kings, this was a let down game after a hard fought 7 game series, they finished the game strong, they’ll be much better going forward, can’t count out the Champs ever. The Team play between the Kings and Lakers is vastly different also, there will be a lot of adjustments coming from the coaching staff. GSW Dynasty is definitely not over, yet.

The youth they tried to bring up while the core winds down has all been really disappointing. Kuminga might be good? Poole's a chucker

Re: GSW Dynasty is Over.
Last season was their swan song. The decline is noticeable amongst all of them, including Steph to a smaller extent. They don't have good young players, and they failed to develop good young players after repeatedly whiffing on draft picks.
I see them losing in 5 games to the Lakers, 6 if they're very lucky and catch the Lakers off guard (AD has a Robert Sacre-esque performance).
It happens to the best. They won 4 titles together. That's incredible. Now, It's time for the dark years.

Yeah but unlike the Kings series, the Warriors lost home court advantage in this series. Against the Kings, they went down 0-2 but came back to the safety and security of home for games 3 and 4. But against the Lakers, they could go down 0-2 and then have to hit the road for games 3 and 4, where they've struggled all season.

For real. For being "light years ahead" of everyone, they have been pretty meh at drafting for awhile.
Imagine if instead of Wiseman, they drafted Ball (Or Haliburton, Bane, Vassell) in 2020. And it's even worse in 2021. They had 2 picks and could have had two of Wagner, Sengun, Murphy, Mann, or Grimes instead of Kuminga/Moody.
Haliburton/Poole
Curry/DiVincenzo
Klay/Murphy III
Wiggins/Wagner
Green/Looney
That team would be so much better than the current Warriors. Glad they mucked up their drafts

Probably used analytics tools from Oracle to help make those quality choices
