Dillon Brooks Will Receive 'Some Interest' In Free Agency

Dillon Brooks will not return to the Memphis Grizzlies next season, but he will have a market elsewhere. The Grizzlies informed Brooks that they are not interested in pursuing him in free agency under any circumstances.

Brooks turned down an extension offer from the Grizzlies early in the season and he has interest in a bigger offensive role.

"An early look around at his market does indicate there will be some interest in his services around the league," writes Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Brooks is coming off a three-year, $35 million extension he signed with the Grizzlies in 2020.

Sorry Shams, but stating the obvious isn't reporting. I have no sources, but I know that Dillon Brooks will be in the NBA next season. I should have said this yesterday so it looked like I was breaking news.... Wait, I did say this yesterday!

He would be a very useful player under a coach that kept his USG% in the middle teens and limited his 3pt shots to the corners.

not a bad piece, brings defence, not completely useless on offence and right now is bargain cheap, add this guy to your superteam, and have someone mentor him. could be good on the suns, heat, philly...

I bet the Mavs would rather splash out big money for Gabe Vincent than to re-sign Kyrie and then sign yet another wing player. Gabe is cheaper, younger, better and much lower maintenance than Kyrie.
