I also agree with whoever said they’d give Lue the edge over Nurse if he became available.

I want Nurse because of the way he coaches not because of his accomplishments even tho he coached circles around us in the ECF and has a championship to his name. He's a creative agressive defensive mind coach known for being to adjust on the fly, feel like we know what we'd be getting and its exactly what we need.

Fresh blood only. I wish Lee the best and hope he gets a head coaching gig somewhere, but I 0% want him to be ours.

Maybe we could work out a deal for Lue with the Clippers, we traded two 2nd rounders to acquire Jason Kidd from Brooklyn.

might not have any 2nd rounders left after jae tho ugh

I’m leaning nurse as of right now.

Wouldn’t hate Kenny Atkinson after some GSW bench years, helped Mike brown a lot.

Would be underwhelmed with Vogel.

If we end up with Monty Williams after he gets booted out of Phoenix, I might boycott.

Here we go with this nonsense.

Everyone saying how we should fire this guy and now all of a sudden we are idiots for doing just that.

Complete nonsense.

We watched this team more than anyone else the past 5 years.

Our shooting falling off a cliff in every single postseason is mostly attributed to teams figuring us out & Bud not having any counters.

It would never happen but we should try. He's got 2 years left on his deal after this year so they'd prob make us give up a first to get him (if he even wanted to leave the Heat...).

At least Giannis wouldn't be shooting any more three under Monty ;)

Lue is such a wet blanket yawn. Nurse intrigues me a little, as does Quinn. I read an interview with Stach around the time when Nurse was hired and really liked what he had to say
Shoot, Move, and Communicate...

Spoiler:

I'm just here for my own amusement,"don't take offense at my innuendo..."

Countless waze, we pass the daze...

A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.

Think of the retreads Lue would be my top guy ahead of Nurse. Would be fine with either.

Would happily be talked into an assistant but would need to be really sold on it.

Kenny Atkinson is a good coach but hes an assistant. Would love something like Stackhouse with Kenny A on his staff or a similar different but tenured nba assistant. Are we also underrating the loss of Darvin Ham?

I don't know alot about him, but seems weird almost no one is brining up Vogel.

Nurse or Lue please. If they went the smart young assistant coach route I wouldn’t be mad, but definitely nervous. We don’t have time to waste with a 28 year old superstar.

I think he’s the most logical pick if he wants the job, and I can get pretty excited for him. But I also wouldn’t be surprised if the bucks are purely mediocre under him.

Valid concerns with Nurse. Their success was a direct result of Masai making a cut-throat trade for a superstar. Then he left.

In the same breath, maybe FVV/OG/Siakam are all just good, not great players. What is the ceiling there? Maybe Nurse was dealt a hand that just wouldn't play.

Giannis/Khris/Jrue is far more malleable than that lot, although Khris's future is also in question. Giannis is Giannis, Nurse hasn't gotten to play with that kind of piece.

I think this is exactly correct. Siakam is a numbers all-star, not impact, and I don't think FVV or OG should be on that tier at all. Kawhi just hard carried that team to a championship (31/9/4/2 in 24 games) and peaced-out. I actually thought their overachieving last season was impressive. This was the "they are who we thought they were" season.

Nurse and Lue are my top 2 personally, no order, and I'll be disappointed - and a little surprised - if it's not one of them.

The last two years happened.

didn't have the horses imo, not sure what people expected of these raptor teams

wanting an assistant is just pure craziness to me

Didn't have the horses to make the playoffs? To win 42 games? You think .500 is a good result for a team with FVV, Siakam, Anunoby, Barnes, Achiuwa, etc? I feel like if we were that fanbase most here would be calling for his head.

We'll def be the #1 choice for a lot of coaches across the league, which is a nice position to be in. The years of getting a choice of Joe Prunty, Jason Kidd or Larry Drew are well behind us.

My hope is that Lue reneges on his commitment to the Lakers little brother and comes home.
