That comment almost seems illegal, even if they hate the guy it's still kinda slimey. It was something that didn't have to be said and it kinda does affect his livelihood. Along with his conduct on and off the court of course :-?

Easy PASS. Don't like him, don't want him, and don't need him. Question is, Who does? With that kind of a comment from his former team, he might find himself out of the NBA. I don't imagine having just recently called Lebron "old" is going to help his case either. :wavefinger: I think it's gonna be, Buh-Bye.

Multiple sauce cans confirm Portland is one of 29 destinations that Dillon Brooks might end up with.

I'm fine kicking the tires. See if he'll sign for a cheap contract. I'm a Ducks fan and like Brooks. But he needs to be signed for cheap. And the contract needs team options starting with year one. Above average defender offset by below average shooting (while still being a chucker).

His attitude might be Cam Reddish, but at least he belongs in the league.

I'd roll the dice. He never had character issues at oregon he was a leader here. I think with a mentor like Dame he'd excel unfortunately I don't see many leaders there as that team is super young in memphis

As much as it pains me, I really could see Brooks ending up with the Blazers if they are able to swing some sort of big trade to get another star to pair with Dame. If they go young, I don't think they do it, but if they think they can stay competitive, I think they'd look at Brooks as a cheap potential way to get that Marcus Smart / Draymond Green role.

He just made 2nd team All-NBA (Defense). Personally don't care, as I want him no where near my young, impressionable and beloved kids (Sharpe and Simons). Props to him though. Still think he has a very difficult path to finding a new team after his team's comment and moreso for having called Lebron old. Think he's mostly gone, regardless of the award. "Off with his head"... get it?

I agree, but I also partly wonder if Brooks is just one of those guys who is a follower and will absorb the personality of the team? Ja set an awful example as the leader of a franchise... everything was a joke and ego out of control. In a more professional, stfu and do your job organization, I do wonder if he's run his mouth as much as he did this past season?

So a, When in Rome type of thing. I guess that could be the case, especially in Memphis. That place is just... special. The dirty-dirty. I could see how he might be acting out some created image to fit in. Whatever, still don't need him in any way. And just to note, that Griz team has been a mess since ZBO went there. Gangsta.

They have some issues to iron our, but if MEM is a mess then PDX is a dumpster fire.

They have a tremendous future if they add a few good locker room vets. Much, much brighter than our squad.

Ja and JJJ are 23, Bane is 24 and they have a gaggle of nice, young former FRPs in the wings to develop into role players (Zaire - 21, Aldama - 22, Roddy - 21, LaRavia - 21, Chandler - 20).

That Griz team is young as hell and should only improve moving forward. If that team is a mess, I pray we are someday in as messy a situation.

I've come around on Brooks. We need about 4 high impact guys. The Brooks situation feels like an opportunity to add an impact player on the very cheap. If he's your 8th or 9th best guy you have a pretty good team. He seems to enjoy playing the heel and this team off nice guys could use an agitator

Attitude issues aside he was not good this past year. His shooting percentages sucked. A flyer maybe if you could buy low on him but they'll over-value him.

My 2 bench targets so far are Brooks and Isiah Stewart. I think they're both fantastic buy-low guys we could transform the second unit with.
Ant/Brooks/Stewart feels like a nice 6/7/8 part of the rotation. We could Resign Thybulle + Eubanks+ Mayes and keep Knox.
Keon+Nas+Walker+Watford and seconds as throw ins for trades and acquiring Stewart.

IDK, Brooks has a stupid shot selection. But he brings a toughness and defensive moxie to a team. Again, there is a very slim chance that we can win a championship with Dame but if we want to take a chance on him, he could be a net positive for the team if he limited his shot attempts.
