So Craig goes from starting and playing great in the first round to basically DNP tonight what gives Monty? Someone explain how this man’s head has been shoved so far up his own ass that he forgets about the dude who he started last week.

Craig has been a non factor this round so you would rather give his minutes to TJ and Ross who can at least score a bit.

Shamet has been a non factor in his entire fcking life but still plays. Arguably the biggest bum to play at the NBA level. Prime Smush Parker was better.

My thoughts on this game:

No one will say it, and I’m not shocked by it, but Landry Shamet played very good defense throughout the game. I thought he also played solid defense in Denver for game 1, too. Jamal Murray has been making some tough shots. I understand this board is blinded and only want to call out the negative things for Monty and Shamet. I honestly can’t stand Landry Shamet but I’ll be the first to say when someone is playing well. He has been awesome on the defensive end this series.

Devin Booker is incredible. Just loss for words with how GREAT of a player that he is. The fact he went through 99% of the game with ZERO free throw attempts is a joke. It’s a damn joke.

Deandre Ayton just sucks. I’m getting super tired of people saying “let’s see how he responds the next game.” This is who he is. How any one can defend this loser is beyond me. He is a guy who takes zero accountability and plays with zero effort. Monty benching him the in the 4th was the right move. Good on Monty.

The series is not over. This board is embarrassing, per usual.

I am so happy with this game. Tough hard win against a great HEALTHY team.

This team has shown that can win against a healthy first seed team and some of our players didn’t play well. We can play even better basketball.

I am speechless about Booker. 20/25 from the field...MY GOD. And what amazes me is his great defense...the guy has a ridiculous high motor.

No words for KD neither. His shots weren't falling in but he kept trying and decided to start attacking the rim and he was outstanding...his passion and skills are ridiculous. 39/9/8 and you know that he can play better ball...CRAZY.

So happy with Warren and Landale embracing bigger roles for this team. We couldn't win this one without them.
I am enjoying this win and I can't wait for the next game. Go Suns!

I'm pretty sure Craig has some sort of injury or he would play more than 3 minutes. Also who would you have play as backup PG in the place of Shamet?

We tried D.Lee and he was scoreless from the field in his 20 minutes of play so Monty is forced to play Shamet as backup PG out of necessity.

They don't play the same position and TJ was engaged on defense, giving us very solid minutes. Also, T Ross gave us some SF minutes. None of us like Shamet, but some his minutes went to TJ and Ross.

I know Shamet is rightfully getting a lot of **** for his playing time, but the alternatives are Damion Lee, who is somehow shooting even worse than Shamet in the playoffs, and Terrence Ross, who also looked like bad yesterday despite the fanfare for TJ. The unfortunately reality is that we still need a guard on the court when Payne or Booker are on the bench, and the options are all uninspiring. They're not even guarding Okogie and Craig out there. Hope we don't have to stomach Shamet much longer though.

Just keep rolling players out there - keep turning them over. I would like too see Monty get Ross a few looks early in his minutes in G4. Granted, all depends on the score. But the Suns don't need 20+ from Ross - but they might need from Ross, like 6 or 8 in a quarter or 12 for the game

I need all the “build around Ayton” people to identify themselves for a public shaming.

I'll be the first to admit that I have supported Ayton for so long unconditionally under the hope and irrational patience that in the right situation he'd finally start realizing his potential. But it's become fairly apparent (as I've said for awhile now) that he's mentally and emotionally checked out and ready to move on! I do still believe that in a different environment and with a fresh start somewhere else, He'll regain his value and impact that he had shown in his 1st postseason with us! I believe our imbecilic front office and cheapskate azz hat of an owner poisoned the relationship initially back in 2021 by not valuing him after that dominant postseason performance he exhibited to help us reach the finals. And even then, after they decided to not offer the 5 yr max, We should have traded him straight away back then when he still had value and was somewhat motivated! Instead, we chose to string him along for two seasons and not just move on. Our front office poisoned the well so to speak. But Ayton did help anything either by quietly checking out! What's done is done and we need to just bite the bullet and move on! It's the best decision for both parties involved now.

I'm just not sure what team might covet him aside from maybe these 4 teams:
1- Dallas (but not for Irving). Because they'd intend to create their own big three for Doncic.
2- Houston. After hiring Udoka and soon adding Harden this summer.
3- Charlotte. IF they miss out on Wemby and don't have to give up their top 5 pick this season!
4- Portland. IF they attempt a big trade to appease Lillard for now.

Ya, this was the last straw for me. He’s gotta go. Only asset we have to try and rebuild depth. I was thinking maybe Atlanta for Capela and another rotation player. Charlotte is a good thought, hadn’t considered them. I could definitely see them being interested. Wonder how high on Mark Williams they are, would be great if we could get him back in a trade

Ross strikes me as a rhythm shooter. I think it would be very wise to stick with him off the bench. He could easily hit 4 threes in a game and if he did their defense would totally collapse.

I was an Ayton defender too. The only bust bigger than Ayton now is no playoff-Luka

We need to consider Chris Paul and Ayton assets this summer. We have a shot to build a much better squad.

Everyone in the media saying KD and Booker can't do this every night. And you know what, I'm not so sure. I think they prob can.

Like others have said, at least shamet plays with effort. He’s actually not terrible as long as he’s not shooting.
