All the star players are young except for Tavares so blowing it up makes no sense at all (as frustrating as that sounds).

Yeah, that's what I figured. It's just, what else can they do to get themselves over the hump? If you have what it takes to win it all, but still fall short, what can you do? I guess they just keep running it back.
What's really menacing is that the guys who coughed up the puck on both goals (Marner and Tavares) are your supposed best players.

Leading by example is a real problem for this team and I honestly don't know what they can possibly do to address it.

Some will say trade Nylander because he's one of the few star players left on a manageable contract but you have to think he's to valuable at this point.

Tavares fell. I don't think that was his fault, but unfortunate "luck" play. Marner and Matthews both gave up the puck in a bad place leading to a goal. There were some even worse giveaways that didn't lead to anything. Can't really just fault the main guys. They do need to score. On one chance Bunting slides it to Matthews and Matthews decides to take a bad angle shot, when all he had to do was pass it right back to Bunting for an easy tap in. He does stuff like that all that time. Marner and Nylander are both surveyors, only Nylander is much worse at it, but when you have a lot of space against a weak defensive team like Florida, that sometimes results in overhandling or trying to make high degree of difficulty passes because they seem available. You can tell they're squeezing their sticks because of Bobrovsky. They need more of a take no prisoners attitude.

Did anyone see that McDavid goal in the first period just now?

Talk about being the Leonel Messi of hockey.

Draisaitl third fastest all time to 75 career playoff points in fewest games played.

1. Gretzky 75 pts in 34 games
2. Lemieux 75 pts in 39 games
3. Draisaitl 76 pts in 45 games
4. Sakic 75 pts in 53 games
5. Crosby 75 pts in 54 games

FWIW, McDavid is at 70 pts in 45 games, so he will likely jump ahead of Sakic this series.

Sundin got 82 points in 91 games if you are wondering about the best Leaf ever.

Historically, teams that go down 0-2 have less than a 14% chance of winning the series. I'm pulling for ya Toronto, but damn, you better win the next game.

I'd love to see an Oilers Leafs finals. Time for a Canadian team to win it all again.
