I highly doubt we run this back. I'm not sure why people think just because we're finding success w/ this roster these playoffs that this organization won't make changes as if our FO is run by monkeys.

Tbh only way I don’t trade Herro is if we make the finals and he balls out and is instrumental in us winning. I like him but he’s gotten hurt in the playoffs a few times now. No good to us if he can’t play when it counts. The team is playing very well without him. He’s the easiest chip with value that can be replaced, not Jimmy, not Bam. No one else is bringing back value in a trade beyond helping to match salaries.

I trust the decisions we make to upgrade this to a true contending roster. I like Herro, in gm1 vs Bucks he looked different. It's a real shame he got hurt because the kid looked like he was ready to cook & prove cats wrong. Who ever we gotta trade to make it happen i'll ride with it.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Some Heat fans still on that bullsh*t.....sh*tting on our own. Cats wanted to trade everyone, get rid of Spo, Riles & called our undrafted players, who are currently cooking, scrubs. They wanted to tank & operate like most of the unsuccessful organisations around the league. & now this Herro bs that i'm hearing currently.

Like i said i don't believe one iota the notion we're playing well because Herro's not playing/his a defensive liability etc. lol f*ck outta here man. Casual fans opinions are hilarious

Don’t forget all the fans desperate to ship out Bam

Wasn't aware there were fans who were constantly posting they wanted to trade Bam. Either way i said 'Cats wanted to trade everyone'

oh man! Idk how you could miss all the constant Bam slander on here. Be on the lookout

May 14th is the 4 week mark. It happened on Sunday April 16th.

That still leaves the door open for a potential return at some point in the ECF which arent slated to begin until May 16.

Lol

I can guarantee the team and staff feels the exact opposite. Only Heat fans can watch this team and cook up posts like this hoping they dont get a guy back that can give you 20 if needed.

I don’t post here much at all because I see all the hate Bam and Spo get regularly here. Tyler Herro is very literally nothing compared to those two.

I know you (and most posters here) don’t care about metrics and such. That’s cool. I can post Duncan’s playoff metrics that blow Herro’s out of the water, won’t matter. But if you don’t learn anything else about NBA basketball, you play the poor defender who drags two off the ball instead of the poor defender who takes bad shots single covered. Way too many capable ball handlers on the Heat, it’s not needed from Herro.

20 points?! Woo-hoo! He’s never shot over league average in terms of true shooting or effective field goal %. His points can be manufactured by the team easily with the offensive variation Spo brings. I’ve always been an Oladipo fan and his absence is a boon as well as awfully inconsistent as he was this season. As someone who’s studied Jimmy Butler for 10 years, the Heat have all they need to get to the Finals trust me.

There's always one

Or two... or more.

Some of us look at the numbers to go with what we see on the court, running a query of what all the 54 20+ ppg players did this year(min 10 games) and then sort it by the calculated ORTG, you'd find that Butler was #1 this season at 135, Bam was #34 at 115 (league average 114.8 which jumped 2.8 points from last year) and then see Herro at #47 with 109, it's only 6 under the league average per100. Now toss in him being a negative on defense and we can now start seeing why this team is looking better in the playoffs. You can be a talented player that just doesn't fit well with a team, especially an offnsive only player on a team that's said to be built on effort and defense.

Here's Herro's PER36s to see his progress, the improvement outside of being allowed to shoot more FGA which equates to more points just isn't all that great. The issue was that Herro was quite skilled coming into the NBA which is usually one of the areas that players can get much better at which of course helps their games a great amount. Miami is making a long term bet with Herro that he makes some kind of leap to being much better than he is now. That bet is also costing Miami from having a stronger roster during this Butler era in Miami.

Interesting soundbite at the end of the video. Jimmy basically is echoing what Heat fans have been saying a while that the Heat need Bam to stay in his words “hella aggressive.”

Jimmy don’t play that game he’s not afraid to call anybody out

Much safer team ball handling and shot selection without him, let alone the defense. Duncan has a higher IQ and is the better three point shooter obviously.

Historically Herro has been ass in the playoffs but maybe this was finally the year he stepped up. We’ll never know unfortunately but he’s also been very young.

Your efforts to have an educated conversation are wasted here though, the majority can’t discuss and have a decent convo and are oblivious to the facts in front of their face because they want to run with agendas. But I’m sure you see that with this one lol
