Maxey and Harden need to try a pump fake when getting into the lane because Williams and Horford are biting on everything from them.

I also wish we had a competent backup center so we could play Reed with Embiid for stretches. We were getting murdered on offensive boards for a moment and since Tobias isn't really doing anything else, we might as well get a shot blocker and effort rebounder on the backside to help Embiid when he's contesting shots.

If Tatum is not playing well, Brogdon comes to step up. They almost always have 2 guys who can be alphas to their team. We dont have that.

I think both maxey and tobi has to step up. Honestly, Maxey is the designated third guy here more than Tobi. Even the team adjusted and got Maxey more involved this game. But we know the limitations of Maxey so Tobi also have to back him up.

The issue is, outside of him and Joel, the only other double digits scoring came from Maxey on putrid 6-17 (He should be driving less and hitting more 3s).

The rest of the team needs to score more, Melton having 2 shots is just stupidity. You're making easier the job for the Celtics defense if players are just there as decoys

By the way, having Embiid in there made Tatum have to kick it out to Smart at the end.

We need two things to happen to win this series.....Harden has to be great for two games and the Celtics can't shoot well from 3.

I've lost hope in Maxey and Tobias doing anything meaningful this series and Embiid is clearly limited to some extent, so Harden will need to be great twice. I'm not being greedy and asking for 3 more great games.

We can't stay in front of them, so they are going to get good looks more often than not.

It's also how deep Boston gets into the paint that's concerning. Doc and the team should have this figured out by now. Boston's offense is the same every time down. They run a PnR switch, either Tatum, Brown, or Smart drive to the basket, this leads the defense to collapse on them and they kick it out to the open shooter every single time. We've been awful on the closeouts on their open shooters and it's costing us. The other problem is like Embiid, and Harden both Brown and Tatum are very good at drawing fouls so in the event that our defender does stay in front of them, that's usually what happens. It's been a nightmare to stop, but after four games we should be anticipating those kick outs to their shooters and reacting quicker to them.

Im more concerned about Jojo next game. He played almost 48 mins thats why he looked super gassed.

He does not have lift on his jumpers, he does not rotate on defense, he does not crash boards.. its understandable because of fatigue but still.. its something to monitor

Refs would be against you if you keep driving those ill advised drives. Playoffs is different. Thats why these vets thrives here because they know when to do things and when not to.

If isn't this, the guy guarding the corner gets distracted looking at the driver and Tatum/Brown/Smart whoever, kick the ball to a cutter when Embiid comes to stop the drive.

It's unreal that Tobias was the highest paid player on that court. Embiid will earn more in the following seasons, but for example Tatum will not earn more than Tobias currently earns even in the final year of his contract (2025-2026).
