The only thing I'm 100% sure of is that a two man game with JT and Smart in the clutch will never win us a chip.

Its like effin groundhog day over and over and over again.

No chance he ever does that. That would be admitting personal fault lol.

It's real **** bold to hire a first time NBA HC with no experience outside of D2 college when you have championship aspirations.

He did that to keep him from answering questions.

Literally losing a playoff round because you can't draw up a play and or use your timeouts accordingly is all the evidence anyone needs to know he's not ready.

Theyre out here firing coaches who won titles, why should Joe be protected?

When has any superstar in the history of the playoffs passed up his own shot to win a game, not once but twice, only to pass to a career 32% player who was beyond the arc? This has to be a first. Put Tatum in the record books.

Jaylen always does some low IQ ****. The OG three in the bubble, smart and brown fighting off a missed free throw from Giannis in game 5 which led to portis’ game winner, brown once again fighting for boards with Tatum today leading to another possession for Philly which they scored, and now brown helping on embiid for zero reason leaving the hottest shooter in the game to once again hit another game winner in this series. **** joke

Hey bud, he had more head coaching experience than Ime when he got hired!

Ime is 100x the coach Joe is, unfortunately he’s also much more horny.

Tatum deferred two game winning shot attempts to Marcus. Let that sink in.

Also it's getting extremely tiresome watching the opposing team hit dagger threes. I mean how many more do we have to watch?

Also not the first time we went slow as if we have the lead or tied. Give yourself a chance at an offensive board. Why go sloooooow down 1?! We had 19 seconds and couldn't get one shot off on time??

I just can't with this core sometimes. Slow learners.

I think they're literally afraid of Smart.

He's the only one trashing locker rooms after all.

Need 2 points to win in overtime and you get a three from the worst three point shooter you have on the court, well actually you don't because you wasted 13 seconds dribbling the air out of the ball before starting your offense.

Nobody is going to convince me THOSE were good outcomes given the situation.

I don't care about DOC subbing in better defenders, nobody the sixers have has proven they can defend Brown/Tatum. Call timeout, set up a play.

Amen
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Superstars pass in those situations ALL THE TIME, that’s what happens when the defenses collapses on you.

I’d say you should know better, but I’m not too sure tbh.

Yeah so I naturally gravitate towards defending coaching decisions particularly when people are focused so much on the outcome (the bounce of a ball) rather than the correct process. I think Joe has borne a lot of unfair blame, stoked by some influential celtics media members.... However tonight, not much to excuse down the stretch.

I could understand the logic of the end of regulation play, where the two man game with Tatum put pressure on the rim and created an outside look. Yet I'd prefer if it wasn't Marcus in that position though, because you're letting defenses make an easy choice to collapse and play the % when its Marcus rather than one of our other guards, perhaps using Jaylen Brown that All star we have on our team to make the defense 'choose' rather than seemingly only ever using him as an overpaid weakside decoy in end of game plays.

But more excruciating was the end of overtime decision to not call a timeout. Your players are tired in OT, you of all coaches keep your timeouts specifically for those moments, instead the players clearly dribbled into a late clock move where everyone was unclear on their spacing, which resulted in another Marcus 3 to win, leaning away and not even getting off in time. Marcus Smart shooting a 3 to win twice in a game is not going to win us a single thing. It's kind of as simple as that, so lets stop letting teams off the hook.

Probably all my negativity used up for a while, but I struggle to defend that end.

Don't forget guys. Smart actually took 2 out of 3 of our final regulation shots.

He's a black hole.

BUT HE HUSTLES AND HE WANTS TO WIN SO BADLY AND OTHER **** ADVANCED STATS CANT QUANTIFY.

Lebron, Giannis, MJ all did/do it.

Let's also ignore the fact that Tatum hit an almost dagger 3 with that same mentality (ball swung back to him for a wide open 3). He keeps making the right play, sometimes the ball gets back to him, sometimes his teammates make shots/plays, sometimes they don't.

He forces it, commits a turnover, or puts up a contested shot, he will also get blamed. Lol

You know what else happens? Coaches call timeouts to design plays to get their superstars open shots.

Stupid.

We made all the plays to win. Philly made some incredible plays.

Basketball happens.

The issue wasn’t smart’s shots. Or Tatum driving. Issue was down one, 16.9 seconds with two timeouts - that is two offensive possessions possible.

You call a timeout have Tatum go downhill, and then your shot is taken with 10 seconds to go. You make it? You play D. You kiss? Foul.

Then, you have another timeout to advance the ball to tie or win the game again.

Literally, Mazulla, gave away a possession and a chance to offensive rebound tip in.

Studs need to create their offense or pass to a GOOD, CLUTCH 3 point shooter. That's not Marcus Smart. He shouldn't even be in the game over White and Brogdon on the offensive end.
