This. He’s the one. If he really wants a ring he has to play this way for the next games and win 2 of them. I hope this win results in him knowing this.

He needs to just be spamming 3's this series. He's good enough to do that. Driving to the rim against this Celtics team will not work.

High pressure game. Not as if it would go in consistently.

Celtics are getting away with playing extremely physical, as is usually the case. Refs can't/won't call everything against them.

Doc needs to take the fine and call out these clowns publicly.

My biggest pet peeve with Maxey is that he picks his dribble up so early leading to terrible shots. He’s gotta work on getting more comfortable driving through traffic while keeping his dribble alive.

It's better than going 4-11 or 1-7 from 2PT range leading to endless Boston transition 3's.

And if he can't hit 3's then he needs to sit for Melton.

Agreed. Without Harden, this team is already on a fishing trip.

So yep, Harden needs to take over and not defer too much and have that Houston Rockets Harden mindset. He's gotta carry this team at this point.

It would really be helpful tho if Maxey/Tobi/Melton can provide us 45-50 pts combined one game. Just need one.

Thought that when it happened but figured it's just not going to get called (in our favor) unless it's very blatant.

Because he thinks he can finish at the rim. Usually he can. Against this Celtics team he can't. So he needs to adjust.

Maxey needs to work extremely hard in the summer to improve his game. He only has one speed and can not break down defenders other than using pure speed.

Cross overs, change of speed, deceleration etc.

What happens if he gets old and loses his speed? It would be not pretty.

But the media looks to point out he stinks all the time in the playoffs

It's official, you're back on ignore. I've tried to keep an open mind with you, but I just can't.

To be fair, Maxey hasn't shown up this series. He is playing better defensively, but his decision making leaves a lot to be desired.

That Embiid-Smart charge/block call was super close. At the time I thought it was called a block and the Celtics were asking for the review. Regardless, it was so close that it shouldn't have been reversed either way, so I agree that whatever the call on the floor was should have stood, and it did. So close.

Harden was incredible but it’s terrifying how dependent we are on him offensively.

I’d really like to see us cut harder throughout the course of the game. We often do lazy cuts to clear out some spacing but it’s never threatening to the defense.

Multiple people have said this, but I have to agree... Embiid can't play so many minutes. He's more effective in fewer minutes. If Embiid played 36 minutes and Reed played 16, I think we would have won more easily. Reed doesn't even have to play nearly as good as Embiid for those 10 minutes... he just has to hold things down so that we get 36 minutes of MVP Embiid instead of 20 minutes of MVP Embiid and 26 minutes of tired, choking Embiid.

We need two things to happen to win this series.....Harden has to be great for two games and the Celtics can't shoot well from 3.

I've lost hope in Maxey and Tobias doing anything meaningful this series and Embiid is clearly limited to some extent, so Harden will need to be great twice. I'm not being greedy and asking for 3 more great games.

We can't stay in front of them, so they are going to get good looks more often than not.

It's also how deep Boston gets into the paint that's concerning. Doc and the team should have this figured out by now. Boston's offense is the same every time down. They run a PnR switch, either Tatum, Brown, or Smart drive to the basket, this leads the defense to collapse on them and they kick it out to the open shooter every single time. We've been awful on the closeouts on their open shooters and it's costing us. The other problem is like Embiid, and Harden both Brown and Tatum are very good at drawing fouls so in the event that our defender does stay in front of them, that's usually what happens. It's been a nightmare to stop, but after four games we should be anticipating those kick outs to their shooters and reacting quicker to them.

This is what I dont understand. If the sixers attempted the same play every time down, the celtics would just steal the ball or turn us over. Every single time Embiid collapse to cover the paint the ball is going directly to Embiid to make the sixers pay for defending the paint. The closest defender to Horford should already be rotating over to him, and than the next defender to his man. Instead our slow , short defenders attempt to chase the ball all over the court and leave someone open.

When Embiid is playing through an injury a grade 2 LCI this is why harden was traded and brought over. Now Harris and Maxey need to get their acts together and harden be in the 25 to 30 and 10 plus assist a night for the rest of the series

He played really poorly tonight, had so many missed rebounds and wasn't getting any space for PHI's guards with his weak screens tonight. I understand why Doc subbed Embiid in earlier than he otherwise would've based off of Paul's play today. Paul's got to be hungrier for all the boards.

again Doc should have went to the Harden only lineup earlier in the 3rd to buy Biid some time and I think he panicked and put him back in too early in the 4th.

Joel played 46 minutes. Any player would be gassed especially one who was out 2 weeks.

Common sense.
