It's the second time he's giving up a open 3 to Harden. Wether he recognizes what he did or not hasn't changed wether he does it or not.

Correct me if I am wrong but game 1 was Horford on Harden and he had him blanketed. It was a tough shot.

Brown gave up easily 3 feet on that game winning 3.

Only a few people here are mentioning this. Glad you are too, besides me and a few others. Joe messed up but Brown was equally as bad. There is a reason why I've said Brown possesses one of the lowest BBIQ's in the league.

He. Hit. The. Shot

Sub in Brogdan. He may have also hit the shot but still would have been late. Passing to Smart was the correct play. There isn't a way to spin it otherwise.

He also hit 2 clutch 3’s down the stretch

We were also 0-4 in 2020. I don't know. It's as if either we win big or we can't win close games.

I agree. Brown was easily more than 3 feet away since he wasn't defending him .

You're not apparently comprehending that this is the shot the Sixers want you to take.

Playing right nto their strategy.

If he hit the shot Boston would be up 3-1. Again there's a reason why Philly was leaving him open

That’s not true. The coach has to hit clutch shots to win. Brad or Ime would have won that game

I had a brain lapse. PTSD from when he did it with Trae.

Either way. He's paid too much to be that **** on defense.

My biggest pet peeve about the game is the defence on that final possession.

We did really well all fourth in running the Sixers off the three point line.

Then Brown inexplicably doubles Embiid and leaves a cooking Harden to drain an easy corner three.

I’d much rather live with Embiid hitting a layup or getting fouled.

Okay I will play your silly game. We ran down the clock....what is the play then? Tatum was covered. You would rather him force a contested shot vs making the pass to the open man who hit the shot?

I am not defending running down the clock. But once they did, they made the right play.

I mean tbf he clamped Harden for 2 games straight. He made one awful decision.

Yep, 3 different coaches. I'm at the point of either we win with this core THIS YEAR or break up Jays/Smart already. They keep making the same mistakes. Some of the losses past few postseasons have been self-inflicted. Can't turn to "not enough experience". They're literally among those who have played the most playoff games/minutes in the league. Together too.

Having Brogdon instead of White or Grant/Rob for defense in so many clutch possessions late is a tactical error or misplaced trust maybe. That's where he could've used his timeouts. Make O/D subs.

This, very much...Brog wasn't even sharp on offense late, although he did come up with a big three

The play should have been that when the play was slow as hell to develop and Tatum was taking too long to get into the play or let something develop..call timeout.

Please follow the thread.

It's not on Smart for not having the **** time to shoot the ball.

It's on Joe for not calling a timeout. Twice.

It's on Tatum for being a beta. Twice.

But Smart reeks of a man who thinks he's more important than he really is and if he could shoot better than 30% from the field, they wouldn't be doubling Tatum in the first place.

Smart should not be taking 2 of the final 3 regulation shots. He shouldn't even be in the floor.

The play was let the players win the game so Joe could proclaim himself the next Zen master in post game press conferences

They point of a coach is to help them know what to execute, and Joe doesn’t know. Not even getting a shot off is inexcusable.

The coach doesn’t have to tell you don’t leave a dude with 39 pts open from 3 to double Embiid up 2. Or rebound the **** ball

He actually does, when it's Brown. The teammates also have the remind the not so bright player(s) in that situation not to give up a 3.
