If they had blown that game in the fashion it appeared it would happen, and then lost game 5, I think it might have finally been the end. Thrilled with Harden's performance, but I don't know whether to thank him or curse him.
The Celtics played like garbage all day, like a team looking to give this game up and get to Boston for game 5. Once they smelled blood in the 4th they took the game to the Sixers, and everyone but Harden and Tucker wilted. I don't want to hear a single thing about Harden and sign & trades to Houston or whoever - if he's not back next year, I'm in for a tear down.
It's really hard to imagine the Sixers taking two of three from Boston, especially when they require heroics from either Harden or Embiid to beat them. Was Tobias Harris even playing today?

Like I said, Harden can not do this every game. He prob can do it one more time I think. (be excicted if 2 but he will be dead after the OT). Him/Embiid will be gassed next game. I hope Maxey has a 30 pt piece to bring us home. He needs one and he's due one. Gonna need everyone else to help contribute to get a game from Boston.
For all the people on here calling for Harden to be shipped out, it's funny to think that without two all-world performances by him this series is already over.
My take about keeping him or tearing it down has been consistent - you let him go and we are back in the same purgatory we were before last season, with an ill fitting roster that has no shot of competing.
Keep Harden, and move Harris, Shake, Korkmaz, and probably Niang to bring in better fitting pieces. And most importantly, give Rivers his walking papers and hire a legit 21st century coach.
