A lot currently riding on Denver and whether their current core is good enough to finally get over the hump, plus they're currently on the hook for a massive luxury tax bill ($170 million payroll for just 10 rostered players as of now). If Middleton opts in, I think Denver would look long and hard at the cost benefit of getting off MPJ's contract for a $40 million expiring. I'd be exploring something where we're getting a younger but flawed blue-chip talent over a lot of these proposed ideas where we're simply gaining cap flexibility and a few picks.

I like the line of thinking with targeting guys like MPJ, but he in particular is not of interest to me. Even if he stays healthy (which i do not believe at all) I don’t like the fit.

Targeting someone like Maxey as mentioned above is a lot more interesting to me.

Irving got injured in quarter 2 of game 4. And Teague claims Kyrie got hurt in game 3 (series turning point in which he played the entire game).

"Did we even win game 4?" Total clown, along with Kyrie out here guaranteeing the Nets win the series if he doesn't go down.

I can't get mad at Kyrie. He clearly has some sort of head injury.

It was not Kyrie it was KYLE Irving a content creator.... I checked Giannis follows ... he has unfollowed everyone BUT his family. Since he is on vacations I guess he doesn't want to hear/read anything Bucks related

Bobby unfollowed Giannis, Giannis unfollowed everyone who isn't family, but he's done that the last few offseasons

Guess Bobby doesn’t want to see what it is like to be a superstar in the offseason. Too much fun.

Love Bobby and this indicates/means nothing, but he is the most live trade chip to be used.

I don't think follows/unfollows has ever indicated anything

Yep, I checked too. Family, his foundation, and Kobe. That's it.

Someone should just show Giannis how to use the mute button on Twitter.

This is just the start of the offseason cycle, pretty sure he does this every year. Next will be the gym videos with speculation about new shooting mechanics in a month or two.

So the Bucks turned Donte into basically half of a Jae Crowder package… watching him do all the little things defensively for Golden State hurts. He is exactly the kind of guard the Bucks needed on the floor vs Miami

Yeah, watching PJ, Donte, and Brogdon just hurts because it also is just reminding us of the bucks going cheap. We could still have all those guys.

going cheap or bad decisions from horst? nobody knows if ownership didn’t want to pay for PJ. Brogdon yes but that was after committing to Bledsoe.

Horst has made so many bad decisions as gm but his job is somehow still safe. trading 5 2nds for Jae who was a dnp when it mattered is just icing on the cake.

Our best chance to get 'value' with Middleton is finding an extend and trade opportunity for Middleton. This requires a team with no cap space that wants desperately to win now and is ready to give up (a) young player(s). The problem usually then is salary matching, so we're mostly looking at recently extended players who got a salary bump.
Two players to me really fit that profile: Ayton and Poole. The latter has a skillset we need and with his current play we might be able even get additional value out of GS.
