This is a pretty good breakdown of the Nuggets defense for the first two games however I think a lot of it just boils down to doubling KD and Booker and hope that the bench misses open 3's which worked really well in Denver and not as well in Phoenix.
Notable mention here is Booker often failing to see the skip pass for the open 3 for an easier shot and these passes are ones he needs to start making more unless he is going to score 35 ppg or more then rest of the way.

He will be a RFA this summer so we are on the driver seat to sign him on a new deal.

I'd bring both Biz and Jock back next year. They have enough to worry about so might as well lock in your backup Cs. Depending what they get back for If Jock might be starting.

I think some team will snag Biz from us similar to what Dallas did with McGee.

If someone wants to give Biz some mle money then I'd wish him the best on his new opportunity. I value him as a 3rd C vet presence but it certainly isn't the end of the world if he leaves.
Suns do have 'early bird' rights on him now since he's been here two years so they can actually offer a little more than the vet min and not have it come out of the MLE. Not sure if they choose to do that but they have the option.

Ayton has ALWAYS had motor issues all the way since HS. People expecting that to change every year...I don't know what to say anymore. It's in his DNA. It's also partly from overthinking things and freezing or lacking confidence at times which I thought might improve but that has been consistently on and off over the years too. There were times he played more instinctually when we had great chemistry with that surprise team in 21 and in 22. But he still will overthink it and become robotic at times and it kills it and his confidence and it sometimes kind of snowballs.
I didn't want to draft him and complained a ton about him as a rookie too, but finally realized I was just feeding negativity and me complaining wouldn't change anything. I'd like to see him traded for a good package but don't really expect a good package if he is traded. I'm not sure I expect our team to be better next year regardless.
But yeah, people saying "IF" he played like that every night or expect his motor to be consistent and change, that won't happen. I accepted that long ago since he was going to be on the team and hoped for the best. It would be nice if he had a nonstop consistent high motor but it's not who he is. I understand it's frustrating.
To me, it's more disappointing he regressed on offense and defense, because I don't expect his motor issues to change, but I didn't expect regression. I was really encouraged in years 2 and 3 with his defensive improvements and with his offensive improvements in years 3 and 4 so it was nice seeing him come into each season with improvements. But this season we haven't seen that. It has been a rocky season overall for everyone though.
Hopefully he plays better and gets renewed confidence. I do think it's good to get him 2-3 early buckets. I do think it helps him quite a bit to get going..same goes for a lot of players.
Just hope for the best and expect...well, not sure what to expect lol, outside of fans complaining about Monty, Ayton and Shamet.
The thing that really bugs me about Ayton is that he hasn't added anything to his offensive arsenal while standing around too much when opportunities for rebounds exist.
Last year he had that unstoppable jump hook that was almost automatic. What in the hell happened to it. He continues to be a jump shooter in the paint. He never takes it strong to the hole unless there is a clear path. He is one of the main reasons we do not get to the line enough.
I think we all see his talent. I also am tired of hearing that Monty is holding him back. It is all on Ayton to show who he is. Is he great or just an average at best NBA player.
Very frustrating
I've said it many times, great players will do great things in spite of coaching, roster and defense's.
That's why Book was already doing great things even when we had a rat team, trash coaching and nobody else worth a damn taking defensive attention away from him. DA has had every opportunity to do great things, he's had Book and CP3 take defenders off him, he's had the paint all the himself, 9 times out of 10 he's the biggest and most athletic dude around the rim and he's had the greenlight to shoot.
With how terrible Robinson has been this series I wonder if we get him and Herro from Miami for Ayton and either Pain or Shame. Doing that would allow them to move Bam to the 4 and play bigger. If there's any team that could unlock DA it's the Heat.
They also get off of what might be the worse contract in the league in Duncan Robinson and Herro hasn't been super useful this season, they don't miss him at all in the playoffs.
Maybe?

I'd do a Shamet for Robinson (If were not really looking at cap flexibility anytime soon) as long as ................................... And everyone especially Bwgood knows what's coming next....lol...............................
As long as they're sending back the 18th pick for getting them off that contract.
BUT SERIOUSLY THOUGH!!! They should be sending back the 18th pick considering how much money they'll be saving from the new CBA rules.

If we're dumping Shamet for a bad contract, I really wonder if Jordan Poole is going to fall into that category. He is absolutely unplayable right now. I'd rather take a chance on him than Robinson

No, please!
Poole is such an overrated player with no defence and only shooting 3s like a mad man. Absolutely unplayable, as you said and has no place in the Suns team.

I hear ya man! That's why with the premise of Robinson from the Heat, I said the 18th pick would/ should be coming back. That 18th pick could legitimately return a key core piece for the future that also happens to be cost controlled which is critical relative to our current cap/ tax situation. Although I'd greatly prefer a Shamet for Trent trade with Toronto personally as my top choice even though no picks would be coming back. But Trent would give us some explosive scoring off the bench and a good running mate with Book in the backcourt on certain sets!

Duncan Robinson only shoots 3s and plays no defense. He also cannot create, which at least Poole has the ability to do

I like the idea but I think the Dubs hold onto him. Draymond sucker punching him probably shook the guy's confidence. Draymond will be removed via trade once this season is over. They like Poole and will give him another chance imo.

Poole has like a contract of 28 mil per while Shamet is only 10 on essentially an expiring contract.
Suns just don't have the assets to make it work unless you want to do something like a direct swap with DA and Poole which doesn't make any sense for us. The only trade that makes sense is to trade DA for a cheaper center and perhaps a point guard but I suspect whomever we can get in such a trade will be underwhelming.

Still waiting for a team to bail the Warriors out by taking both Poole and Green for a bag of cheetos and a couple draft picks...
Detroit will probably send Bogdanovich, Bagley and a highly protected FRP.

The Poole Green combo is the problem. They need to split them up. DET will probably take Green since he's from there but they won't be taking both on.

I think Poole turned a hot shooting year into a huge contact, I hope nobody bails them out. Dudes never been a high BBIQ guy and it shows when his dumb shots don't go in.

Isn't this all Warriors are about though ? Taking dumb shots which Curry and Klay in their prime would usually make. Now they are past their prime you have Kerr catching his head seeing Klay take one of those in last minutes of the game.
