Yeah, on the GB there are people talking about the NBA Finals. First, Miami has to close out the Knicks. A hypothetical ECF would require Miami to beat either Boston or Philadelphia, which would be impossibly tough series.

You are correct sir but I'll say we match up really well with both those teams.

Let's end this in 5 and get our guys some much needed rest

I think the team was a lot more beat up last year at this time and are most likely going to get a ton of rest for the 2nd time these playoffs. 3rd time for Jimmy. Jimmy had a knee and Kyle had a hamstring. The role players are shooting the 3 ball well and I think Kevin Love is an upgrade from PJ IMO.

They were acting like it was the Knicks going deep into the playoffs year after year and Miami being irrelevant for 20 years.

Kinda like this lol

To be fair didn’t you have the Knicks in like 5 or 6 on the GB?

Moving Strus away from PF and having him regain his starting two spot has really flipped the script. Kevin Love and Zeller have also been god sends in the front court size department.

This has been just one of my problems with Herro at the 2 vs Strus, Miami needs a catch and shoot 2 and although Herro can be a deadly catch and shoot 3pt shooter he wants to do more with the ball. Then of course the upgrade on the defensive end with Strus over Herro, even if it's not great it is better.

On the bright side, Miami likely gets Herro back for the ECF. The best-case scenario would be for Miami to close out the Knicks in G5 and then watch the Celtics-Sixers go the full 7.

The bad news is Oladipo's defense would be missed for dealing with Jaylen Brown/Brogdon/Maxey/Harden.

Let's see what happens in G5.

I understand he's a tough guy, all that. Heat culture.

But guy sucks on offense and we can't have defenses sagging off him. Every time I saw Tucker with the ball WIDE OPEN for a mid range jumper, he wasn't even aware he was open, the defenses didn't care to cover him, and Tucker was just looking around like "who do i pass to, someone come get the ball!"

Grumpy Heat Fan wrote: I don't want him here. Yes, great defense, hustle. Don't need that. We need a Haslem type guy, able to take mid range J's when the opposing defense gives them up.

We have too many offensive handicaps in our starting lineup. PJ too expensive to be on the bench I think.

If PJ wants to haggle over money, this is the PERFECT time to trade him.

"We couldn't agree on a contract, we wish PJ the best"

As you can see, we now have a PF in Love who can actually contribute offensively.

I hated watching PJ Tucker with the ball, his defender sagging off of him giving him 5 feet of space, and Tucker was literally just looking around for who to pass the ball to. Tucker would mainly shoot if he was wide open at the 3pt line in a catch and shoot. But if he got the ball in the midrange area, he was allergic, and the Celtics exploited that. We couldn't buy a bucket sometimes.

Do that to Kevin Love and he takes the jumper or does something offensively. He will make you pay for that.

Couldn't post but just had to say great game from Bam. He was Bam from first season and best player on the floor.
Also great to see Heat win a game where they weren't shooting well in the 4th quarter. If were gonna pull off upset in ECF, there's gonna be a game or two we're gonna have to win not shooting well

I do think he’s an upgrade overall and much cheaper too. It was a good move by the FO to retain Caleb not PJ.

Our third trip too in 4 years.. crazy part is, not a single one of those seasons we were able to pair butler with a legitimate superstar talent.. but we still here .. wish we did get him that star though, but we are usually out of resources.. our team goes hardcore in summer league looking for another gabe vincent or caleb martin to play with Butler than they do on the phones to acquire a star.

I like the fact that calebs cap number makes him an asset.. we didnt do what we usually do and massively overpay.. hes here, producing at a high level, on the right price tag.

Team is in such a flow right now, we can’t afford to put Tyler back in as a starter and have him find his rhythm. When he’s healthy, he’s gonna have to take Duncan’s minutes and potentially some of Gabe’s.

I will say that despite Gabe being bricky as hell tonight, he’s a fiesty Chivato who gets in players grill and disrupts. That’s not gonna be Tyler.

Having 6MOY Herro will obviously help though and reduce pressure on Jimmy and Lowry to be the sole creators.

I don't know where ya'll get this love for Herro

His defense is bad. He needs to come off the bench only.
