I would say hiring a rookie coach was bad enough but to double down and extend him as the HC? That is a huge swing and a miss by Brad. He should no doubt be on the hot seat.

I want to apologize to everyone, I will learn the rules better by the next game for certain. I said what I said because it was literally nothing but Tatum name-calling and IMO going overboard on him. I was about to leave the thread because there was nothing else being said, but then I remembered I'm supposed to be modding. This is the playoffs, I want to discuss what's going on and not have to go through PAGES of what was being thrown around. I gotta just let it slide even if it says game thread but turns into a name-calling trade thread. It's no longer entertainment it's draining. Add that to what the team is doing and I stepped out of line. I meant no harm, just wanted people to stick to criticism instead of what was actually going down. My fault, yall don't deserve that (most of you)!

It’s just staggering coaching malpractice to say to hell with the defence let’s just try and outshoot teams every night.

Firstly we are not the 2017 Warriors.

Secondly in the playoffs there will be games when the 3s don’t fall, like they didn’t tonight.

To win a title you need to be locked in defensively so when the shots aren’t falling you’re still in a tight game.

That’s two games in this series now where we’ve made the Sixers look like the GOAT offensive team.

Get this team a real court and an actual guard that complements Brown and Tatum's playmaking weakness and suddenly we'll see things turn around.

Enough of this experiment that was supposed to be a stopgap of "ruh roh Irving left and Kemba knee is broken". This wasn't supposed to be a plan we were excited about, we were supposed to just use this as a bridge to get a real PG.

We were supposed to trade 4 first rounders for our next all-star PG, not 2 first rounders for Derrick White. Just get back to the plan and everything will be alright, get the Jays what they actually need and stop pretending they have no weaknesses on offense.

Rob is no longer the defensive force he was and I think a large part of that is his success was as a help safety in a double big lineup where Al would body the center. We really need a way to get him going defensively as a lot of our defensive success last year was based on intimidation that would allow the perimeter defenders to cheat a little more.

Horford is old/washed/tired and cannot defend the perimeter anymore. That's why we played drop coverage the entire season and whenever he switched onto a guard they cooked him. You can't play the double big line ups like last year because of that.

Last year teams stayed away from attacking Horford because he was a beast defensively, so we got away with Horford glued to the center with Rob on the perimeter.

That's not to say Rob himself hasn't regressed. He put up 4/2/0/0/0 today in 20 mins. Lack of lobs and lack of rebounds speaks a lot to his health.

Series isn’t over by a long shot. It sucks big time losing tonight but this series is far from over.

Certainly this series is not over and stranger things have happened... But I for one I am no longer getting my hopes up high..

I will watch like I always do and hope for The best...

Can we still possibly win it all I say yes..

But if I'm being totally honest this has to be the least enjoyable Boston team I have watched in 50 years..

Lack of intensity lack of effort, stupid basketball play and finding new ways to blow games all wrapped into one..

Some people just chose to flat out ignore Boston's issues and thought they would magically disappear when the playoffs started

When Boston lost to several subpar teams people would say "well they play good teams in the playoffs this won't be an issue, or they would repeatedly say well Milwaukee lost a bunch of games to subpar teams (how did that end up working out for them) or they would just ignore the bad shooting because once in awhile they would have a game where they shoot lights out and score 130 points.

This team just has too many flaws and I think the most infuriating one is there inability to show up for playoff home games.

Yeah sadly I agree with this....I still think it's worth a look here and there to try and get Rob going.

At this point I'm just desperate for Joe to try anything different because Philly have become far too comfortable with the status-quo.
