Yep. They'll be spamming threes until it's over. It's not going to be easy.

As a fan who is extremely hard on Tobias, I have to give it up for him. Especially in the first half he was going after rebounds like a mad man. If he always tried to fill those services instead of worrying about being a scorer we'd have more success.

Not gonna get too excited until Thursday, but great win. Please close it out in 6.

If Miami does finish off NY in 5, can't push this to 7 and have everyone exhausted against a fresh legs MIA, they beat PHI last year in the playoffs unexpectedly.

Finish off BOS at home, go into MIA series knowing that playoff Jimmy and Bam, Kevin Love, and Lowry are more formidable than they looked in the regular season.

Feel like now is the time to buy a sixers win with all of us betting on the Celtics to win the series. Either we are all happy and it’s money well spent, or we get some consolation prize cash.

The ball still stick at times during the second half that lead to late shot clock fga but we had a significant lead this game so it really didn't matter

Have to give Doc credit here for putting the ball in Maxey's hands and going to the zone early

Don't know why the Celtics were dropping on Embiid and Harden pick n pops

I expect our role players to play better at home and we take game 6

Gotta wonder how much confidence the Celtic players have in their coach. Tatum and Brown are going to play hero ball big time in game 6, have to be ready for that.

Sorry, I did caveat that they have to finish off BOS in 6 at home, but fair.

Was a great game, glad Maxey finally got going. They stuck with trying to deny Harden the ball and denying him driving lanes when he did get the ball. Maxey and Harris played good offensive games for the first time this series and Embiid was living at the line and in the mid range, even shot a good percentage from 3 too.

Incredible defense on those blocks by Embiid, especially the chasedown block in the 4th.

If they decide to try to deny Maxey the ball, that means Harden can go off again. Tucker and Harris have to stay ready for the swing pass to come to them on open 3s off of the drive and kick.

Sixers played that “crunch time’ gear from the get go. Celts dont really have the answer for that but we dont usually use it from start to finish.

Because Muzzalla is too data driven.

I think they were trying to deny Harden getting to the rim so that it didn't open up his stepback and midrange as much. Makes sense to gameplan to take away from the guy who got PHI their previous 2 wins in the series and prevent him from going for a 40 bomb again, but it gave Embiid the easy mid-range shot and he knocked a lot of them down. Then, he used that to get to the line. Maxey benefited from how much they worked to prevent PHI from getting the ball to Harden or out of his hands when he did have it.

At this point, I trust Harden to adjust his approach based on their defense because he's now seen just about every approach they can take to guarding him. He's been making the right read on whether to try to score or distribute these past two games and gotta hope that that continues in G6. Hoping to hear the song on Thursday!

Is it just me or are we having Embiid come up way higher beyond the 3 point line to set the picks for Harden (or Maxey)?

In Games 2 and 3 it was like watching us run this congested PnR at basically the foul line and Boston would just smother them with 2-3 defenders. In result leads to little to no ball movement, other players not ever getting looks/into rhythm, and Boston's fear of Harden step backs nullified.

Our offense has looked beautiful in Games 4 and 5. Much more space. We have the scorers, speed and craftiness to execute, so please keep everyone involved. Embiid also seems to be fading on picks more and letting threes fly. G2 and 3 baffled me.

I was baffled the Celtics were playing drop the entire 3rd quarter, basically destroying themselves in real time.

Mazzulla has been horrible this entire series, which is a lot to say when you're coaching against connoted underperformer on the playoffs Doc Rivers

I refuse to believe in this team until we're eating horse poop on broad.

Hero ball makes them worse. They’d be like the clips. Taking a lot of pull up mid range low ppp shots.

This style they’re playing is for them to generate high ppp via those 3s.

Celts FO mindset is celts can win the numbers game.

Gotta go into game 6 with the mentality of "We're up because we're better and we are going to close your ass out" and not "Holy crap, I can't believe we're up on Boston!"

This team over the years has never had that killer instinct mentality consistently. They had it tonight, but can't let up. Need it in game 6 too. And even if shots aren't falling or whatever, as long as they play hungry and aggressive and don't back down, they'll be in good shape.

Act like you deserve to be up. Act like you deserve to advance.

From what I've seen in this series, his game management for a HC has been piss poor

As I said earlier, Udoka was more of a vocal leader than Mazulla is. That goes along way when your two best players are under 30 and your team doesn't have a leader or a "voice" so to speak
