They lack a superstar alpha. Brown and Tatum also are not yet at the stage of their career to want the championship over getting a supermax.

They combined for over 70 today. Issue is the Celtics are better than 76ers, but they aren’t roll out the ball better. Boston gave away game 1, and game 4. You have to at least split those row games .

Celtics, should have swept this series already. But, they haven’t.

Well. that has consequences. Just an abysmal effort by Boston.

It is t about alpha this, or alpha that. It is about attention to detail

Where the f do you get this "Celtics should have swept them already" ish? Huh?

The Celtics LOST Game 1. PERIOD. Harden SMOKED THEM AT HOME.

Did you miss that game? Huh?

People on this board like to call Sixers fans out, but I gotta tell you, Celtics fans - and Sixers haters - have had SO MUCH MOUTH in this thread.

At no point have I been disrespecting the Celtics. I keep it balanced and I am FAR from thinking this series is over. But when people on this forum want to call Sixers fans out, just LOOK AT THE ATTITUDE of this poster and tell me what fans are posting more smack.

Proud of the team effort tonight. Everyone looks on board. Special shout out to Maxey and Tobias. That is exactly what we needed going forward and they answered the call. Just need to stay focussed on the next game.

I think if Celtics win game 6, we win the series but it will need a complete turnaround from today. Sixers dominated us in every facet and put the brakes on every run with big shot after big shot

Blame the players who didn't play defense, shot 31% from three and missed a bunch of free throws instead of the head coach. Coaching doesn't matter in the NBA. You either have great players that perform or you don't.

I mean, Embid is an amazing player but his flailing and falling over/foul baiting is comical.
It becomes boring to an extent.
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.

It was Harden's passing that got them going. Dude's been great this series.

Coaching doesn’t be matter? LOL

Spo is coaching like a demon right now

Bud, Paz and Kerr have made repeat errors this playoffs

You know Doc? Blows 3-1 leads, blundered game 7 vs the Lakers when they ran a ring on the Celtics bench

But today we blitzed Tatum/Brown constantly from jump ball,

You reckon it was the players who huddled up pre game and came up with that?.... lmao you’re wrong buddy

Why didn't you mention about the final against the Warriors? Did Tatum do well?

First finals at 24 years of age. He played poorly as plenty of young stars do in finals series under 25 years old - if they get there.

Heck, Lebron James wildly considered top 2 of all time had worse finals at age 26.

At least he got there. Something older superstars should as Embiid/Jokic haven’t even done yet.

Difference is Tatum was drafted by a team that was the #1 team in the EC record wise and went to the ECF. So he landed on a good team and a perennial contender.

Sixers were a 19 win team when they drafted Embiid who then missed the first two seasons due to injury and most of his third season as well. They were a bottom team.

Jokic was drafted by a 30 win Nuggets team in the second round. They didn’t win enough games to make the playoffs his first 3 seasons, despite the Nuggets winning 46 games in 2017-2018 because of the WC.

If he's supposed to get better with experience then why is he getting embarrassed right now?

I suggest you keep Embiid's name out of your mouth and take this loss home with you.

Lol. Embiid Embiid Embiid!! Tatum is still putting up better numbers than him.

Embiid might finally reach the third round for the first time in his career. Congrats x

Thanks. I am glad that we just curbstomped Boston and stole back the momentum and are going back home up 3-2 as well.

I'll never deny that he is a player who flops (it is more embellishing contact) or slows the game down by foul baiting. It was just extremely tiresome to hear Celtics fans whining about him constantly flopping when he was falling to the ground unrelated to a flop, or was legitimately getting contacted by players, even if the contact was minimal, while Marcus Smart is putting on an all-time obscene showing, as usual. It is not hard to compare the two players and see what a disgusting flopper actually looks like.

Fact Doc Rivers is famous for giving up 3-1 leads, also means he's pretty good in squandering 3-2 leads

Yiiikes. As much a I want to say Celtics are fumbling this thing away, all credit to the Sixers for taking advantage and not faltering.

No Embiid game one, still came out and took the W. Get blown out in game 2 and lose game 3 on home court, still take game 4. Game 5 away? They trounce the C's. Gotta respect them for handling their business.

I'm ride or die, I still think the Celtics win this series. This is the time for Tatum and Brown to earn the flowers they've already received. Put up or shut up. I believe in those two guys, but you can't lose this series after having so many things break your way leading up to it and not get backlash.

Same spot they were in with Milwaukee last year, so they know they can do it. Let's see what happens.

I know people are really upset at Joe but the biggest difference between last year and this team are the bigs to me.

Horford took a year off in OKC and it showed last year. This year ? Horford just plainly looks old. No ways about it. Horford has lost a step on both ends and Timelord looks like a shell of himself.
