I fully endorse selling the 60th pick for cash and then buying a mid-2nd to grab any of Kobe Brown, Andre Jackson, or Baylor Scheierman.

This kid is intriguing but probably fishing for a late first round promise from a team like the spurs

I'm not going to pretend I'd even know where to start looking for Hungarian league games, but I just can't imagine it's great. I was scrolling down a player list and there were like a half dozen guys I've heard of, and let me tell you, I am a person who has heard of guys.

Yeah same guy like Rupert but I can’t bring myself to watch those games either

I probably won't either, but I've seen enough NBL (and there's been enough cross-traffic with the NBA/NCAA/major European leagues) to be able to at least have a pretty good understanding of what it's like.

Re: 2023 NBA Draft Thread
Participation will include league medical examinations, sharing of medical history and biomechanical and functional movement testing, as well as strength and agility testing, shooting drills, performance testing and anthropometric measurements. Players will also be required to conduct team interviews, media circuits, player development sessions and other assessments, as determined by the NBA in consultation with the NBPA. Players will not be compelled to compete in five-on-five scrimmaging, which typically only a handful of first-round prospects elect to participate in.
This represents a significant shift in favor of NBA teams who have long lobbied for this rule change. In the past, agents of elite prospects would regularly strategize to keep medicals of clients away from less-attractive franchises in hopes of steering their players to preferred destinations, something that will no longer be possible. This should also likely make the NBA Draft Combine more compelling, as a large number of top prospects often elected to skip fully participating or attending altogether or in years past.
Players who are physically unable to participate, due to playing with a FIBA club still in-season, family tragedy, the birth of a child, or due to injury, as determined by the medical director of the combine, will be required to complete components at a later date. Failure to do so will result in being ineligible to be selected on draft night.

Re: 2023 NBA Draft Thread
Surprised it took them this long to make it mandatory. Have to think they see the money the NFL brings in during their combine/draft season.
I usually watch all the boring drills anyways, so at least it will be more entertaining now. Wish scrimmages were in this as well but probably best for the top guys not to get injured.

You like him or just reacting to his wingspan? I think he's too slow but he's huge and extremely skilled. One of the best looking shot releases from a big I can remember seeing.

I mean, no idea who he was, but then saw the wingspan

I mean, no idea who he was, but then saw the wingspanand did a little research. I guess I have a hard time seeing a guy that big and that skilled while being an elite shooter not ultimately finding a place for a long time in this league.
Good call. He’s a good passer too.
Mensah measured well also and had a good showing at PIT

Konchar's block on AD really reminded me of / got me reconsidering Jalen Slawson. He's got so many positive traits, like Konchar did coming out. Obviously Virginia can vouch.

Whitmore's the guy with the highest upside in this draft outside of the Big-3 dudes (Wemby/Scoot/Miller). Tankathon mock has him currently going #8 to Washinton. Think there's quite a few teams in that 8-14 range (Washington, Dallas, New Orleans, Orlando) that are gonna aggressively shop their picks for win-now help. Just saying.....

I like Cam a lot. He plays hard, and if you watch him for 5 minutes you know what kind of athlete he is. I also think his floor game is way behind the curve, and you're probably looking at something offensively closer to Jordan Bell than to Jaylen Brown or even Aaron Gordon. Defensively, he could be special, though.
And I wouldn't totally discount the similarities to Jaylen Brown, either. Just remember how far Jaylen Brown had to come to get where he is.
I think Jarace and Anthony Black have higher upside but who knows really.

Also I still have no idea about the Thompson twins but they're clearly spectacular athletes and could have something to say about this.
