Love this dude and he's hilarious to boot. That dive to get the jump ball after the Harden TO was huge. 5 point swing saving a Boston layup then Harden hitting the 3 off the jump.
Reed, House, Melton, Tucker etc. laying it on the line has been the difference this year.
Gotta keep him.

I hope they're kind enough to send a car to bring him down to the arena.

If House gets more minutes tomorrow, which i hope he does, no 3s please lol. just take the ball to the cup on offense. he was giving the celtics problems there last night.

Reed is gonna be an amazing switch defender at his peak, in the mold of what Adebayo can do at the perimeter. He's most likely gonna be an elite rebounder at his position too.
He needs to improve his screening and his ability to protect the rim tho.
Still, we need to retain him, his abilities allow us to play a more Harden-focused offense and defense with Embiid off the floor

PJ has potential to be what Pete Rose was to the 1980 Phillies. We've won two games soundly, regardless of the score in game four. It was some of the worst playoff officiating I've ever seen. And Embiid hasn't played close to his potential on offense. He missed 15 shots in game four and 13 in game five. He's not close to mid-season form.
I hope we come out with intensity on defense and avoid early fouls in each quarter.

Do you see a bit of a poor man's Rodman in him once he becomes a better rebounder and on-ball defender? I don't think he (or anyone) will ever be the rebounder Rodman was at his peak, especially on the offensive glass, but he can be as good a defensive player and contribute more offensively if he becomes a passable 3-pt. shooter.

Always loved this kid game, I think he can be one of the best backups C in the league in his prime.
Hes already a valuable rotation player. Got to keep him around.

Rather than Embiid working from the top of the key we started clearing a side and getting him the ball of the left wing/block. He looked way more comfortable operating from that area. The side PnR was more effective too because it makes helping on the roll a much longer rotation for their defense.
His defensive scheme has been A+ too. He deserves a ton of credit for that game.
He also played some stretch 5 so it frees up driving lane for Maxey.
I love the adjustments of this time of year.
The defensive scheme was what you expect against teams that spam 3s. They funnel the drivers into Joel and for the most part Joel wins that battle at the rim. The others zone out preventing open 3s. If Horford hit more they would need to adjust some, but not too much. This way the defenders are completely in the Celtics shooting air space and rendering them inefficient. They could try to have Williams in the dunker spot to gobble up offensive boards or dump offs, but I don't think they will. But be on the lookout for a big have from their bigs if Boston has a good offensive game. Horford hitting 3s or on the glass. The Sixers can adjust though to the bigs, they're used to it.
But the Celtics offensive scheme is why the Rockets used to stumble spamming 3s and pretty much every other team. They need a mid range attack (which Chris Paul have Houston when they had a chance). Brown is pretty much getting his points at the rim, not really mid range. Also brown is tired trying to guard Harden, they have to take him off of that assignment. Use smart. That could be another adjustment.

Tobias Harris can't keep guys in front of him, but he's been f'n balling on offense in these playoffs.
16.3 points per game on 54.5% from the field is great. Shooting 40% from three and over 80% from the line.

Doc needs to be smart and get House in the rotation.
Have that dude guard Brogdon whenever he’s on court.

During G5 they showed a graph with the difference between his stats in the series against the Nets and in the first four games against the Celtics, it is a huge difference. But he's been good in G5, hopefully he continues like that.

One little tidbit.
In the first quarter when we’re playing well and in a rhythm. Tobi didn’t pass the ball to Harden when he is inbounding the ball, partly because Harden is shaded by his defender. Harden looks mad after that and we had a string of TOs, that Doc has to sit Harden. Harden bounced back in the non-Embiid minutes in the 2nd quarter.

Sorry for the OT post guys, but for the life of me I can't find this. How do I add a sig, or change it? I used to have one, then removed it, now I'd like to add one again, but can't find it at all.
