2020, they did a good job thank to Dwight but I don't think the lakers will be able to do the same, so the offense would need to be at their best to beat Denver if the lakers and nuggets win in the 2nd round

Your thoughts on this potential matchup?

These seem as good as the bubble Nuggets except Nuggets had no mile high home court advantage.

LOL...It's a comfortable rock. No, I honestly don't go on many forums or message boards except for this bastion of sanity right here. Precisely, because of the idiocy that I read in the BR one.

Worth watching gents. GS might be at the end of the line as far as the chess match goes and it's time to just let the shots fall where they may

100%. Kerr resorting to complaining about refs and flopping is another indication. He doesn't have any other adjustments to make, so he's trying to game the refs.

Ham might've had the last laugh with this if he doesn't pull another lineup change out of the hat.

LeBron or Vando on Dray to switch the Curry screens, and AD on Wiggins. If they bring Wiggins into the short roll he'll have 2 guys waiting in the paint. If they can clean up backside rotations (aka keep LeBron far far away from having to play the helper  ) this has the makings of locking down good Warriors shots every possession. Depends on what the Warriors do with that kickout. Their best counter is to immediately pitch into a DHO with GP2 or Dray or set an exit screen for Klay.

Draymond short rolls are probably cooked if they're switching them with Bron or Vando a la 2016 Cleveland. With AD on Wiggins I'm sure they'll try to open up those back cuts for the shooters with Lakers "toplocking" aka staying on the high side at all times to prevent 3s. AD is going to rotate over and Wiggins will have to beat them with corner 3s, and Lakers need to rotate over and at least stunt at him and recover back to their man like they did in 2016.

I originally wanted them to have the next guy bump over and AD X out to the other perimeter guy, but now that I think about it we might be at the point where Ham doesn't want to move the chess pieces around and wants to keep AD on the Wiggins matchup as much as possible.

If Golden State capitulates and tries to basically make Steph beat you in iso+pulling deep 3s in PnR, or GP2 and Wiggins beat you from the perimeter, all the Lakers need to do is clean up their ugly ass offense lmao. I'd like to see more targeting Steph and lifting GS' playbook with the pivot passer and split cuts

After 17 and 18 it's weird to see Warriors have lategame execution issues like everyone else. Back then KD would just run down and splash 3s in single coverage. Protecting a lead in the clutch was like trying to hold back a tsunami. They wouldn't even look the least bit tired.

The all-nba team will be announced tonight....Do you think that LBJ or AD will make the all-nba team this year?

I think they both could make the 3rd team but ultimately they each missed a lot of games which will probably leave them off.

Yeah but LeBron hasn't that killer instinct. He once stopped to let a beever (yes a freaking beever) cross the road. That alone takes him out of that discussion.

Damn, absolutely expected from AD, who has been playing like prime Russell. But, I didn't realize that James' good defense was actually that good. And at 38? A freaking cyborg.

If you're the Lakers you'd much much rather play Phoenix I think, their midrange style works in the Lakers favor massively, plus their lack of real creators outside of KD and Book.

Denver should be favored significantly. Best HCA in Basketball and for the most part unconventional offense I think will really make it hard for LA to defend them, but they've certainly proven me wrong before. I don't think the 2020 series is much of a predictor, too many new variables.
