But wanted to say congrats on the big win last night Sixers fans. I don't know what the hell my Celts were doing but you guys were really good. First game in the series where Philly just flat out looked like the more confident, better team.

Hoping my guys bounce back of course. I guess we'll see.

My weird advice is - don't watch. That's what I always did for teams I root for. If you miss the game and find out later they lose, not bad right? It saves you all the pain. You put down the phone, stay away from realgm, spend the rest of your day with your family. If the box score pops up in 4th quarter they are up by double digits, hell yeah turn on the TV and enjoy the final moments of the win. Best feeling in the world. If they are up by 10 I start watching with 10 minutes left, if they up by 5, 5 minute, etc. gradually postponing it to keep your chance of watching a heartbreak to minimum. I turned off my TV for HOU-LAC G6 4th quarter back in 2015, I still believe it was the best decision ever.

It's a win win situation as weird as it sounds because you actually don't get to watch the game

With some score and time modifications, this is what I frequently do. I think I would have had a aneurysm on Sunday had I watched the game live.

It seems you and Ken take the game way too seriously.

Does anyone else feel like Philly is going to close this out in 6? It feels like it's their year to move on. It's like everything is falling in place this year. Bucks get knocked out in round 1. Celtics just ain't the same with the new coach. Harden is good, Embiid is good, Maxey is good and all the role players playing good.

I never feel confident with the sixers again Boston. They have long been our daddy.

Maxey is going to get paid when all is said and done. Better start backing up the proverbial brinks truck. Luckily it will happen once Harris’s contract expires. (Unless i am misreading this)

Yeah something feels different, Philly is playing with an edge that they haven't had in the past. Health is the only thing getting in their way imo. Still think the Celtics have a strong chance of winning though, really can't take them lightly at all.

The way Embiid answered the post game questions was telling. He had unselfish answers when asked about his personal performance. Always putting it in a team context. Somethings different now in a good way. I think they are locked in.

Harden’s performance early should be telling. Either shooting or getting everyone involved, if he’s aggressive, the Sixers have been the better team.

Keys for Celtics game 6.

- Horford needs to hit the 3. He’s getting great looks with Embiid in paint.
- Stop the Harden/Embiid pick and roll. Way too many easy shots for Embiid around the free throw line which is his money shot. Force Harden right or have the rotation over help on Embiid.
- Don’t rely on the 3. While the Celtics have had great looks, if they’re not falling they need to attack the paint. Put Embiid in the pick and roll to keep him out of the paint, attack the mismatches with Maxey/Harden.
- Defensive intensity. We saw it game 4 fourth quarter but other than then, it’s been pretty much regular season defense for the Celtics.

Sixers spent the entire offseason and regular season preparing for this. Thats the difference between this year and in previous years.

But you can’t be certain on outcomes in sports. There’s a lot of variance in play.

Based on G4&G5, it looks like Sixers played that extra gear for most of the game that they usually bring out in crunch time.

I always find G2&G3 is more to get Biid shake off the rust. I dont even think Harden is serious in both these games.

Maybe Celtics win G6 and eventually win this series. Celtics has the talent to make that happen. Its a matter of making 5-10 more 3s which they are very capable of, based on how the games are going.

But Sixers definitely come prepared for this and gave themselves a really good chance. And personally, I’d be very disappointed if that happens because I dont see Biid having this good of a chance to win it in the future.

Over the last two games, Celtics has only the lead for 12:20. With only 2:35 in game 5.

Sixers +2.5 in Game 6. You would think this would have flipped already? Boston is going to fight obviously but home game not taken into consideration by the books, especially after their G5 win? Thoughts?

You can't celebrate a thing against a team this dangerous until they're 6 feet under.

You guys have been seriously impressive and full props for doing so well :)

It feels different to previous years…. Seems like it’s your chance now.

I know we can bring it this game but I’m not going to be surprised either way.

I'm expecting the Sixers to give their all in this game, as they do not want to have to go back to Boston for a game 7, regardless of how the Celtics play at home. That much needed rest if they do advance to the next round is motivation enough.

As for the Celtics, I learned not to expect too much from them based on how they have been playing this season. I am just hoping for the best.

that is interesting. I am surprised 76ers arent favourites at home. bookies have been thinking boston are even the title favourites and for some reason they will be able to bounce back.

Embiid looked a lot more mobile the last game. He’s 3 weeks out from his injury. The chase down block was the first time since he came back that he really exerted himself jumping. That’s a good sign.

What happened to Robert Williams. Did the injuries kill him this much? He seems to have little impact now.
