How about doing Larry Krystowiak some favors and throwing his name out there too? Larry Drew? Scott Skiles? Who’s next?

Griffin coached here under Skiles

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I wonder if Mavs would give permission to interview Jason Kidd.

Dame criticizing the Bucks for canning Bud had to have been noticed.
If we are serious about Brooks I would hope it’d mean it’d contribute significantly to Dame pushing his way to Milwaukee.

They're casting a wide net which is par the course for any coaching search. I wouldn't even start to get concerned until we see the Woj/Shams tweet with the words "finalists" in it.

Bucks coaching search has more names than Lil Cleo's Draft tiers. We need to settle down.

Out of curiosity because I haven't looked it up, but are there any examples of coaches who weren't great their 1st time around but then became really successful in their 2nd or 3rd try?
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

It’s because a lot of people on this board are trying to factor in context to some extent when judging coaches rather than just blindly looking at W/L lol.
Like for example, and this is just my personal opinion here, but it might be easier to make the playoffs when you have Kevin Durant.

Specifically in the NBA? Depends on your definition of success but looking at active coaches:
- Mike Malone; 39-67 with the Kings and fired early in his 2nd season
- Arguably Ty Lue depending on how you feel about how he coached Cleveland but he obviously had a good record there.
- Doc Rivers? Had a few mediocre seasons in Orlando before he was fired and went on to win a title with Boston and established himself at that point as one of the big name coaches in the league (but there's a lot of skepticism around him as a coach nowadays).
- Monty Williams?
- Mike Brown; same kinda argument as Lue

To be fair, he did have a couple relatively good seasons as the Wizards coach as well. But in general, I'd be sad if he ended up our coach; we have to be able to do better than him.

I wouldn't count Lue & Brown considering the success they had in Cleveland. I guess you could say the other 3 but their 2nd stints don't really inspire me much either, although if any of the 3 get to the finals this year I'd probably change my opinion of them

Did Nurse decline to interview? I haven’t seen him mentioned by anyone as being on our list.

I think Lue is debatable at best, but Brown was kind of a laughing stock during his stint with Cleveland. I didn't realize quite how long ago that was though; after he was fired by Cleveland for the second time, it took almost a decade to get another head coaching opportunity and now he's the coach of the year.

Doc in ORL is similar to Atkinson in BKN. Those teams were supposed to be cheeks.
Agree with the other ones.
Just found out George Karl coached both the Cavs and Dubs before the Sonics. Did better than expected, too. Wild!

I mean Lue went to the finals every year in CLE and won a title. His only 2 playoff series he lost there were to the KD Warriors. He was quite successful. And I need to see more than 1 year of Brown considering his failures in LA and his 2nd stint in Cleveland
