Jimmy however is capable and he should be more assertive

Right now you're probably right since he doesn't have the confidence in that shot. I'm not sure why calling it out triggers certain people, its like if you say anything that isn't annointing Bam its a problem. Some people point to Al Horford as a comp as far as career trajectory with the 3 ball, overall skillsets I think are comparable but Horford didn't come into a league where the big man shooting 3 was necessarily en vogue. Bam on the other hand had the skillset from day 1, he's just very clearly not comfortable with that shot in games. I thought we would be at a point starting this season where he'd be attempting 1-2 a game but maybe next year.

If Bam develops his game and becomes a quality 3 point shooter, it would be a fantatic dynamic for the team.

I'm not optimistic because I dont think much of him as a mere mid range shooter.

Despite his sucesses there, nothing about his shot looks convincing.

The way he gathers and releases his shot often looks wonky.

You can see his lack of confidence in real time as he's making his move and transitioning into his shooting motion.

I'm also not in love with his overall form. It's stiff and unconvincing.

IMO, his highest potential is to be dominant in the paint.

He needs to develop better footwork and learn how to be a more dynamic finisher ie Giannis with his array of layup and dunk packages with either hand from different angles.

Antawn Jamison also comes to mind as someone Bam should try and emulate in and around the rim - fast moves on either side of the rim.

Antawn Jamison, you got to be a real hoop head to pull that name out. Not a bad idea

Tyler Herro jumps 2 foot above the ring for the final two points, crashing the slam dunk as his nuts land on Lebron's face. Lebron crumples to the floor, never to set foot on a court again.

F around and find out. Miami should have played with more urgency in game 5 vs the effort they gave, you never know what possible issues may pop up!

The league being blatantly rigged is such an embarrassment. If we get fuxked over by Foster twice in a series and eventually get bounced I’m going to start a riot

The Foster conspiracy is overstated imo. Do what we are supposed to and we win game 2. Do what we are supposed to do and we win tonight.

Nah that **** for the birds, you play ball and determine the winner. No outside influences like a cheating ref, this is on the league

It may be overstated but it seems his referring style isn't conducive to how Miami plays. You have to know the NBA wants a game 7 in New York.

They should be. The Knicks have as favorable chance as they could get down 3-2 with Scott Foster in Miami and having game 7 back in New York. Game 5 was nearly a must win for Miami and I saw very little urgency like I did the previous 4 games of the series.

If Butler is indeed injured badly, does he go all out tonight and possibly injure himself more or does he go into cruise control like he did offensively in game 5 and leave it up to game 7 while injured?

I would not be one bit surprised if Scott Foster happens to ref game 7 in New York.

Knicks are Silvers favorite team so I’m not surprised. Streaks are meant to be broken, hopefully tonight is the night

Sure, it's a winnable game for Miami but this isn't something that helps Miami and I'm sure the players won't like knowing Scott Foster is the lead ref.

If anything it's understated. To have this blatant corruption going unchecked is disgusting.

It's not absolute though. Do what we are supposed to and we win. Agree on that.

Miami better come out with a sense of urgency, because referees will make sure unless the game is going one way if its close they will tilt it to the Knicks for a game seven. Fck around and find out you lose the series after going 3-1 in the first four games.

https://www.cbsnews.com/boston/news/scott-foster-recipient-of-134-tim-donaghy-phone-calls-refereeing-celtics-heat-game-3/

Foster is the official who received 134 phone calls from disgraced referee Tim Donaghy between October 2006 and April 2007, as originally reported by FOX News. That was the same period during which Donaghy admitted to betting on NBA games. The report said that Donaghy called Foster more than any other ref and that he didn't call any other official more than 13 times.

Donaghy's calls to Foster took place immediately before and after games Donaghy was officiating 54 times.

The records also showed Donaghy making several calls to Foster on the days of games, generally for no more than two minutes.

The report also said that when Donaghy called Foster, he mostly used the phone that he dedicated to gambling-related phone calls, and the phone calls stopped abruptly when Donaghy said he stopped gambling.
