Al McCoy calls his final game for the Phoenix Suns

Post#1 » by SunsRback4Good » Fri May 12, 2023 5:50 am

We didn’t deserve better, the players didn’t deserve better, the organization didn’t deserve better. Only one person who deserved better was our legendary play-by-play broadcaster Al McCoy! Everyone has failed to bring him the ultimate prize that he so desperately seeked for 50 years ago since 1972. You’re beloved Al enjoy your retirement.

Sorry, Al. Wish we could've given you a better send off.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Thanks Al. My Dad and I listened to you a lot in the 80s/90s. Sorry you had to call the final games the past two seasons.

Listened to Al a lot during the 90s while I was playing hoops in my driveway. Suns games then were payperview and only once in awhile I'd be lucky enough to watch. His radio voice will always remind me of my youth. I remember him calling the Chapman 3 while I was playing bedroom door basketball dreaming of making it one day. Thanks pal. Rest up and do something fun with your summer

sucks how we flamed out the last two years, wish he couldve had a better retirement game. But he had a great career. I remember when internet was too slow to stream games so I listened to the NBA radio casts online instead in the Steve Nash era which is where I became a Suns fan. So McCoys voice is pretty much stuck in my head.

It was great they gave him recognition during the ESPN broadcast.
