I feel like if Knicks let heat win the 1st quarter again...They will lose this game. They can't afford to keep playing catch up

Tony Brothers is assigned to the replay center tonight. He won’t be on the court.

But I’m sure he’ll find a way to rule Max Strus out of bounds on a critical 3.

https://www.cbsnews.com/boston/news/scott-foster-recipient-of-134-tim-donaghy-phone-calls-refereeing-celtics-heat-game-3/

Foster is the official who received 134 phone calls from disgraced referee Tim Donaghy between October 2006 and April 2007, as originally reported by FOX News. That was the same period during which Donaghy admitted to betting on NBA games. The report said that Donaghy called Foster more than any other ref and that he didn't call any other official more than 13 times.

Donaghy's calls to Foster took place immediately before and after games Donaghy was officiating 54 times.

The records also showed Donaghy making several calls to Foster on the days of games, generally for no more than two minutes.

The report also said that when Donaghy called Foster, he mostly used the phone that he dedicated to gambling-related phone calls, and the phone calls stopped abruptly when Donaghy said he stopped gambling.

The Heat have lost their last 10 games officiated by Foster

and Jimmy has a bum ankle thanks to your dirty player Josh Hart.

So not looking good for us.

This series has to feature the most whining about officials by two fanbases I've ever seen

She’s right, though. If it weren’t for the refs, the Heat would be the number 1 overall seed.

_GH0ST_ wrote:You called Bam a bum and he had a great game in that game. You tried to change the subject with a example from Randle.

I prefer to give answers according to people's intelligence. I think this language is enough for you.

My initial comment was about Randle doing a good job getting by Bam to get to the rim.

- You then quoted me trying to dismiss that as no big deal.
- So, I made a joke about Bam being a bum since blowing by him was apparently no big deal.
- Then you waited until after game 3; when Bam played much better and Randle much worse; to post that tweet.
- To which I replied with a joke about Julius needing to shoot better than Bam if we wanted to win.

So I wasn't sure whether you were referring to Randle or Bam with your "He's such a bad defender that making perfect shots fills his gaps" reply, or what your tone was with that comment.

Do you think I need to wait until the end of game 3? Actually, you took advantage of this and wrote it after the game that bam played badly.
Do you use derogatory language in most of your messages and call them jokes? I understand if it happens once or twice, but you do the same thing every time.

It's ironic that you talk about tone and other things.

You write such nonsense that even you think it is ridiculous and then you edit it

I wasn't trying to imply anything, so I have no opinion about whether you need to wait until after game 3 or not. I was just relaying the order of events from my perspective in an attempt to clarify why I struggled to parse your post. And I didn't make my inital comment to take advantage of the timing in some silly argument...I'm enjoying this run far too much to care about scoring e-points.

I wrote it because I had just rewatched Randle's FGA from his first game of the series and wanted to discuss what I had noticed...that although his outside shot wasn't falling, he had success attacking the hoop; even when Bam defended him...with other basketball fans because my friend who I usually talk basketball with is busy being pregnant and too mad at the Bulls.

Given that Bam's such a good defender, I did find that encouraging, but I wasn't saying that to hype my team or disparage Bam...there's no shame in an All-NBA guy, who's a force when attacking the rim, getting the better of you. Just like there's no shame in an All-Defensive guy responding in the next game to get the better of the matchup. That s*** happens when good players face each other :dontknow:

I do use crass language a lot, especially when s***talking/bantering with rival sports fans. But no ill is meant by it and I take no offense at the disparaging remarks that come from the other side...unless you're a BFC Dynamo fan, then you can f*** right off

..and the edit tool is a very useful function for clarifying things, not sure why you would criticize anyone for utilizing it unless they were changing the point of their post. Trust me, sparing folks from having to deal with the grammar of my unedited posts is to y'all's benefit as much as mine

So much this. It might be worse than the petty d***-measuring in this thread

I really can't stand it...especially from my fellow knicks fans. If you're that obsessed with the refs then you need to give them credit for helping us win and not just whine about them when we lose.

Plus, if you truly believe that the NBA is fixed, then why still watch? There's much better written fiction out there if that's what you think this league is.

As an impartial fan, the reffing has been bad overall per usual, but it doesn't look like either team is favored, it just looks like the refs suck and don't know how to call things consistently.

The fact that neither of these two fanbases want to admit any fault with their team and only blame the refs is the most comical thing going on in the playoffs right now.

Yeah. I tried to make that same point to some of my fellow knicks fans earlier in the series, but you see how well that worked
